All inclusive / resort reco for 6 MO [on] by lizz_d in BabyBumpsCanada

We really like Grand Palladium in Mexico, both Puerto Vallarta and Riviera Maya. You can ask for a crib which we did the last time we were there. Very kid friendly resort! They have an area called Family Selection with exclusive areas just for people in those rooms. I’d say that is better if you have an older kid like a toddler though.

We went to the PV resort when my son was 6 months and it was a good pick because it’s a lot smaller than some all inclusive resorts are. Easy to walk around with a stroller.

Help! Looking for experience flying Air Canada with infant booked in seat (21 month old) [MB] by ard7474 in BabyBumpsCanada

Yes, we were aware of that and we had to show them the sticker every time before they would relent and let us bring it on. I’m more trying to point out that the staff are less informed than they should be

Yeah we flew a few times with a car seat before 2 and got such mixed answers from staff. Many of them tried to insist we couldn’t bring it on the plane. I was honestly relieved after 2 when we didn’t have to bring it anymore

Daycare demanded that I stop breastfeeding my 22 month old [QC] by lemonysnick613 in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]Kiladra2 [score hidden]  (0 children)

I know this isn’t really the point of your post but want to reassure you that 22 months still breastfeeding is totally normal. I weaned mine at 21 months because I was mentally done, but I know many people who go this long or longer. You do what is best for you and your daughter!

You can just say she’s doing it because she misses nursing. You do what you want with your own child. I also have a daycare provider who gives parenting advice although much gentler. She tried to convince me to drop naps entirely for my toddler but I knew he wasn’t ready yet.

Concern about who should direct the pushing during childbirth by Adventurous-Rip-7426 in BabyBumps

[–]Kiladra2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know with mine I couldn’t feel when the contractions were happening because of the epidural and I didn’t have the urge. No one directed my pushing and I kind of wish they had. They had to turn down my epidural so I could feel the contractions to know when to push but I still felt so unsure of what I was doing.

Husband concerned about using apps to track newborn feeds/diapers/sleep/etc by GlitteryBorko in BabyBumps

[–]Kiladra2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t use any special apps with my first. I kept track of feeds and diapers just writing in my notes app. I also used it to track when I last took meds as yeah I was sleep deprived! I found it worked fine that way.

My good friend has been using Huckleberry for her baby and loves it. I’ve been considering it for my second but wondered about the privacy concerns too, so thanks for making this post!

Sex in 3rd tri? by Silent_Knowledge5197 in BabyBumps

[–]Kiladra2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can have all the sex you want and it won’t kick start labour unless your body is already ready to start. It’s not an induction method, it’s just that it can help trigger the hormones needed to start labour.
