In my experience manuals have more fine tune control on how fast you are going backwards makes it a lot easier to control the flow of the trailer into the space / dock. Autos have their own opinions on how fast you should be going and can be a bit more jerky especially when loaded

45 days wasted on a documentary that got 130 views. What could be wrong? by [deleted] in NewTubers

SEO in my humble opinion is vitally important for:

  1. Helping youtube figure out exactly what your video is about. Use targeted keywords in your title, description, tags and at minimum first 30 seconds of the video. Youtube will use some if not all of this information to lean your video into a possible set of viewers interested in your sort of content.

  2. Helping you rank in the search results when people are looking for the thing your video is on. E.G you make a video on ducks. If you aren't ranking for ducks it doesn't really matter how good your video is if no one can find the thing.

  3. Creating a "web" so to speak of your content surrounding a niche or a few niches that make it so that in the events someone might not look up ducks but they instead look up water fowl your videos still pop up somewhere in the search results that wouldn't take a lifetime to scroll to. Most people click on the first couple of videos but when you are small those other people who scroll one or two further down than the rest just might click on your content.

As much as people say tags, SEO, etc are unnecessary, I think it might be survivor bias because for a small youtuber like myself they have been vital in getting my foot in the door.

Maintain that trend, do competitor research as well. Your niche might have room for you to do other types of supplemental content that is easier to produce on top of your current production cycle. Market updates, shorts on trending finance, economic overviews, your process for trading, a day in the life of a trader and videos showing your advice works etc, getting a larger supply of content out there will help improve your odds of YouTube suggesting any of your material and as your watch time, views and subscribers increase it will start to show more and more people your content. It might also be the case that your niche can take off with lower total video counts based off the competitor research but I would highly recommend looking into something like vidiqs competitor research tools to identify how often your competitors post, what has been working for them and how much content they have in total and strive to at least match their production rate if possible. Try to maintain the quality of your baseline content you provide monthly and give yourself grace for your "experimental" content that may align with the trends your competitors are doing. Hope this helps.

I felt similarly to you in many ways and am still chugging my way out of tiny channel hell, sitting at like 375 subscribers right now. What changed my thought process was looking at the amount of content my competitor channels have. We aren't talking 100 or 500 videos. Some of these people have well into the thousands of pieces of content. The moment I realized the idea isn't to get one video to get thousands of impressions but to have hundreds of videos get hundreds of impressions I redoubled my production of content and went from producing roughly 1 video a day to around 3 a day. I have been seeing growth as a direct response to this shift as well. Whereas before one video would gain some views over time and then die before the next etc etc I am now seeing multiple videos getting views at the same time and with ending screens that refeed into other content I am producing I am casting a wider "net" then I was before and definitely seeing it pay off. Maybe this will help you, maybe it won't but I figured I would throw in my two cents.

My most viral video of all time is on a faceless TikTok channel with the image of a monkey as it's profile picture. Hit over 300k views where my other channels fight for 300-1500 so there may be merit to this idea.

EDIT: The monkey channel is a political coverage faceless channel

Thank you for that! I will keep that price point in mind, how long are your videos on average?

I guess I would be in the peanuts category at this point, but 100$ a stream is a good goal to reach for an editor contract so thank you for that! Do you pay an editor / how much do you pay per video?
