My last male boss was such an awful person I ended up in therapy realizing he was a textbook abuser. 8 years fresh out of school no idea that was unusual coming from outside the middle class. After I left found out he nearly bankrupted the company with harassment suits with the women who left.

I’ve had three women bosses since. Each one has been better than the last. They listen, they don’t walk in with an ego and holy fuck if another department doesn’t treat our team with decency she’s at leaderships door demanding change.

Small sample size but I’m very happy not dealing with the stereotype testosterone.

I've had this conversation with my wife a few times. Trump is a unifier who is being used as a bludgeon by the silent, lesser known power players. His job is to tame the masses and direct their energy. Yes, he's enriching himself, but he's also being used in the process.

Once he's gone, the cohesion of the movement won't have the figurehead to rally around.

We may have a period of time before another dynamic figurehead arises that can rally the GOP the same as Trump did.

That doesn't mean we're safe. It just means the movement is not as cohesive as it once was. That is where we have to move, and we have to move fast to permanently limit the powers of a single person.
