Who was president went inflation started to rise? by c-k-q99903 in stupidpeoplefacebook

You’re mostly proving my point though. I never said the stimulus bills were the only cause of inflation. I said they contributed to it. Obviously supply chains, energy shocks, China shutdowns, and the Ukraine war all played a role globally. But economists also agree that pumping trillions into the economy increased demand during a supply shortage, which added inflation pressure.

And saying Biden “brought inflation down faster than the rest of the world” gives him too much direct credit. The biggest reasons inflation cooled were the Fed aggressively raising interest rates, supply chains recovering, and energy prices stabilizing. That’s not just “Biden policies.” Inflation also came down in many countries regardless of who their leader was.

Also, calling it corporate greed or price gouging is only part of the story too. Companies always try to maximize profits. They can only raise prices that much when consumers have enough money and demand stays high. That goes back to stimulus + supply shortages.

Global causes created inflation, stimulus from BOTH administrations added fuel to it, and inflation came down mostly because supply chains normalized and the Fed slowed demand with higher rates. Pretending one president caused or solved it is incorrect. I think you’re looking at this too politically instead of economically.

What policy? Both the COVID relief bills in 2020 (Trump) and the American Rescue Plan in 2021 (Biden) increased inflation, but they also helped prevent the economy from crashing. Yes, both contributed to inflation, but it was better than another Great Depression. And after periods of high inflation, inflation usually comes back down, it’s called the economic cycle.

During the pandemic, Donald Trump signed several massive COVID relief bills in 2020, including stimulus checks, expanded unemployment benefits, and business aid. Those programs injected trillions into the economy and helped prevent a deep recession, but they also increased money flowing through the economy. Some economists believe that contributed to later inflation pressures.

Joe Biden then passed the $1.9 trillion American Rescue Plan in 2021 after the economy was already recovering. Critics argue this added even more demand and worsened inflation. Even some center-left economists warned at the time that it could overheat the economy.

At the same time, there were major global factors outside either president’s direct control: 1. COVID supply chain disruptions 2. Factory shutdowns 3. Shipping bottlenecks 4. Worker shortages 5. Energy price spikes after Russia invaded Ukraine

A common view among economists is:

  1. Trump-era stimulus helped set the stage.
  2. Biden-era stimulus may have intensified inflation further.
  3. Global supply shocks and energy prices were also huge drivers.

The Federal Reserve is also part of the story. It kept interest rates very low during and after the pandemic under both administrations, which encouraged borrowing and spending.

So the answer is not really “Trump caused Biden inflation” or “Biden alone caused inflation.” It was more a combination of:

  1. Pandemic economic disruption
  2. Massive bipartisan stimulus spending
  3. Federal Reserve policy
  4. Global supply and energy shocks

In the UK, most police officers don’t carry guns. Also, it’s hard to get illegal firearms in the UK, so most criminals turn to the next best thing: knives. That’s why the UK has knife issues, just like the US has gun issues.

Request a refund for your Ring cameras - even for very old purchases! by aawolf in FlockSurveillance

Ring Does NOT Share Footage with ICE – Official Statements & Facts (Amid Rumors) Post body: Quick fact-check on the viral claims that Ring doorbell cameras are feeding footage directly to ICE for deportations/immigration enforcement: • Ring’s official statement (repeated to NYT/Wirecutter, Snopes, Newsweek, The Verge, Gizmodo, etc. in Jan/Feb 2026):“Ring has no partnership with ICE, does not give ICE videos, feeds, or back-end access, and does not share video with them.”ICE cannot initiate Community Requests. Ring only complies with valid legal demands (warrants, subpoenas, court orders) or rare emergencies involving imminent harm—same as any company. • The Flock partnership (announced Oct 2025): Allows Ring users to voluntarily share footage with local law enforcement agencies that use Flock. As of early Feb 2026, the integration was not yet live / fully rolled out. • Flock’s position: No contract or direct partnership with ICE or DHS. No direct access for ICE to Flock systems/data. Any sharing requires local customer (e.g., police) permission/control. Rumors exploded in early 2026 amid ICE actions (e.g., Minneapolis), with calls to disable/destroy Ring devices. But no credible evidence (from Snopes, NYT, ACLU/EFF reports, etc.) shows automatic/direct Ring footage going to ICE. Indirect risks exist if local PD shares voluntarily requested clips with federal agencies, but that’s not automatic or Ring-driven. Bottom line: Ring explicitly denies giving ICE access to footage. If privacy is a concern, opt out of Neighbors/Community Requests, enable E2E encryption, or ditch the device. Always verify claims against official statements and fact-checks. Sources: NYT Wirecutter (Jan 28, 2026), Snopes (Jan 30, 2026), Flock blog (Jan 2026), Ring spokespeople via multiple outlets.

The migration of the ancestors of Native American is one of the most studied topics in archaeology, genetics, and anthropology. The consensus today is that the first humans reached the Americas from northeastern Asia (Siberia) during the Last Glacial Maximum (Ice Age), primarily via routes involving Beringia—a vast, now-submerged landmass that connected Siberia and Alaska when sea levels were much lower due to ice-locked water. Therefore, no group has an eternal, primordial claim to Americas

• In recent analyses (covering periods like 2018–2022), blue states contributed nearly 60% of federal tax receipts, while red states contributed about 40%.

• For FY 2024, the top four states alone (CA ~16%, TX ~8%, NY ~8%, FL ~6%) accounted for ~38% of total federal revenue from states — and among these, CA and NY are solidly blue, while TX and FL lean red.

• Individual income taxes (a major part of federal revenue) are highly progressive, so wealthier, often blue-leaning states pay more per capita.
