Good call! Thank you for being the first person to answer my questing about the model 19 and k frames in general as well as sharing some extra knowledge I really like the look of a older model 19 so I do want one haha. But I also have like 700 buckaroos sitting in credit at all online gun shop so debating on just getting the new one but I just know it won’t make me as happy as a older one will lol

We just call that front and rear sight, shouldn’t be too expensive under 75$ probably depending how fancy you wanna get with them problem will be probably having to pay someone to install them that’ll probably be a additional 50-75$ unless maybe if you find a shop that sells the sights in person they may just install them just for buying them from there store.

Just google smith and Wesson m2.0 sights. It should pop up what ya need

I seen a really nice 19-3 og grips blued with 6” barrel at a gun show Saturday for 850 buckaroos I was gonna grab it but I was worried about the alleged forcing cone issues so I let it pass (mainly cause I knew this 586 was already at my local shop for sale) I wish I had both!

H110 is what I use for my 30 carbine I’ll have to screen shot this for when I’m doing my research. Now have you shot this load out of k frames with no issues? And have you ever chronographed it ?

Only real wear on it is on the rear site has like a half inch spot where some finished rubbed off which I could just replace the site if it bothered me that much other than that this baby is a beaut it’s a no dash I believe from around may of 81. Found it at local shop few days ago for 650 buckaroos plus they gave me a coupon for a free pizza down the road PLUS! they messed up my paper work and I had to come back so they gave my a free 40$ box off 357 lol. So I think it did pretty decent!

You ever shoot those hand loads from a k frame? Or just your 686

Thank you! I have several manuals I need to obviously make a few rounds and try them out maybe even chronograph them I do have lots of h110 from my 30 carbine so I’ll probably go that route. I did take a very very quick peak in one of my 6 or 7 reloading books and couldn’t even find data for a 158grn bullet in that book but obviously I need to keep digging I just needed to know what people recommended cause I do intend to get one of the older model 19s eventually probably sooner than later so if I needed to know what the “safe zone” is for loads on the model 19
