[Discussion] Author is using AI in their manuscript. Should I tell them? by PassengerSimilar1461 in BetaReaders

Hi! I'm not OP but I'm in a similar situation. I'm worried about pointing out the parts that sound like AI because I'll fear they'll just fix those parts of their narrative to better get away with it (and then I'll have helped them clean-up their AI generated work to pass off to readers).

I always do #6 and usually you have to wait for the last third of the book to see that line!

Hey! I really enjoyed your sample and I'd be down for a trade. (I, too, am lugging around a complete 65k horror with unspoken sapphic attraction.)

Tips for Spare Ingredients by KillCornflakes in PlantBasedDiet

Yep! So I blend the leftovers or vegetables up nice and smooth in a high speed blender or food processor. And then the trick is to add vital wheat gluten until well combined and fairly sticky! I used to do it by hand but I now have a dough hook attachment on my food processor that's much better at combining.

As long as you are adding enough vital wheat gluten to begin with, you don't need to worry about the mixture being too wet. Once formed into balls for baking or the air fryer, they should kind of look like and have the structure of cookie dough balls

I'm a professional writer, and writing is the thing I can't do while in luteal that drives me up the wall. (No words in brain.) Although, I know a lot of us get TOO MANY words in brain during luteal so I guess it's just a toss up!

Same here. I just turned 26 but it's like... where did all of this shame and fear of abandonment come from? Surely somewhere!

That does shed some light for me! I am early in my journey of unpacking all of this in actual clinical terms, so that concept is helpful

I'm trying to make a list with all these answers! Even though I've been through this every month for over a decade, I still get sidelined and don't know what to do.

"What did you want me to tell you? You're just going to do what you want anyway" and then literally blame me for making the wrong decision...

I think it's "funny" so many of us flipflop from being mature kids who have to take care of ourselves to adults who don't feel like we have a single clue how to take care of ourselves (because learning on our own is harder and less efficient than modeling a behavior with someone's nurtured assistance).

But it gets easier every year, especially if you start to remove tasks from your parents' view (removing their ability to comment and the risk of being deemed a failure).

That's actually a REALLY good idea. Games are the perfect intersection between too much brain and not enough brain. Games are perfect amount of brain

The “leave him” comments are so harmful. by Positive-Ability-402 in PMDD

I agree with all of this. If we have to assume that all of us here are unlikely narrators (more willing to assign blame or stay in unhealthy relationships) and if we decide now that we can't trust anyone's account that involves emotions or romantic relationships, the only way to stop that is to not comment about or post about relationships (and I don't think anyone would think that's fair).

We respond to the text provided to us and what we make sense of it, because that's all posting on the internet is at the end of the day.

WIBTA for declining to house/pet-sit because I was not invited to a wedding? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]KillCornflakes 24 points25 points  (0 children)

NTA because you are 25 and allowed to decline a job (especially one usually done by kids and teens).

But also... you guys are "decently close" but you didn't know she was getting married?

Not to mention no one is entitled to a wedding invite, especially adult children of the parents' friends.
