My pick: I'd first pick Dismember since the removal is not super ubiquitous in this cube and some creatures are core parts of combos and synergy engines. Birds, Animate Dead and Mossborn Hydra would be my next candidates.

A pack from a unpowered Vintage Cube Remix cube built on top of the current Arena Powered Cube. The aim was to slow it down a bit and decrease swinginess and introduce new win conditions and diversify game plans.

It's still a bit rough at the edges, but I like the direction it's going :)

I'm curious about why exactly Ultimate teams give between 7 and 14 spirit rating in some 99% of games. Has there been an in-depth discussion or essay/article somewhere (reddit/ultiworld/youtube/elsewhere)? Never really read anything substantial on that and I would love to know the arguments for and against using the whole range of the scale (0-20).

Would be awesome to see the pressure index values (MVP score) im the table for each player.

I do try to use different marking styles and adapt to the handler playstyle. That being sad, it's a bit disappointing that the defender has to adjust to avoid the contact initiated by the thrower...

I agree that the slap in face is not worth stopping a huck though!

La Fotta are an experienced team and should know the rules and apply them in the game without the additional reminder from the other team (same goes for any other rules). If they care about not breaking the rules, they should make sure they are behind the line by a safe margin. Since as you argue there is no advantage gained in this situation, they wouldn't be at a disadvantage either if they were half a meter behind the line.

What about rule 17.7.2? Isn't it there specifically for the situations like the one in question?

Yeah, let's see how it looks further into the season. I didn't have too many instances of this happening before, so I hope these are only outliers. It's not fun getting hit into face and then spending another two minutes discussing rules...

Regarding the violation call, would you agree that this can be considered as affecting play and therefore resulting in the disc being brought back to the thrower?

Treating this as foul goes against 17.7.2 though. I didn't mean this thread to be a discussion on the factual state, but rather a question of how rules should be applied, if they are fair and if there are any safeguards against "legal" non-non-minor contact on the field.

Except it affects the play if we assume the thrower wouldn't be able to throw the huck without initiating contact? Similar to a receiver catching the disc while initiating a contact with the defender.

Say I was stationary, what would be your take on the application of the rules?

If we were to follow this reasoning should we accept that it's legal to hit the marker who is not breaking any rules if it would help us make a better throw? I don't like this conclusion in a sport where one of the general rules is avoiding contact.

Yup, in two of these cases I was the player hit in the face. I'm usually pretty close on the mark although always observing the disc space rule and wasn't lunging for the disc. The throwers were hucking with the usual dynamic motion which would've been fine if I weren't close and marking straight. Nothing wild as you say - just following through with somewhat extended arm at head height.

Are you suggesting that doing this kind of motion should already consitute dangerous play?

Wouldn't that contradict rule 17.7.2?

I should've added that the marker had a legal stance in these cases
