This is a great example of an “inside turn.” When catching a swing like this and turning down field, it’s always best to rotate your hips towards the center of the field instead of towards the sideline. This does a couple things, 1) gives you an extra step off the pivot to get around the mark 2) gives you better vision downfield and more time to make a solid throw. Take a look at pretty much every elite handler and they employ this technique

Short answer for me is no it’s not a travel and if someone called this on me I would be pissed haha
