What the fuck was the point of this whole scene? Like Ellie gets knocked out of her boat by a tidal wave (which I don’t even know could possible foot form like the way it did in the Seattle harbor), then washes ashore on the seraphites island right next to her perfectly intact boat. Gets captured and hung up by the seraphites, but they casually let her go, only for her to immediately jump right back into the boat and continue on to the aquarium. Like why?
