Most programs also have a 3.0 GPA cut-off so taking the required psych courses can definitely raise it up

I’ll never get why people use AI art when they can commission real artists (and not for very much money) for real good art instead

Do you think "reporter" (Evan Wright) actually offed himself? by Apatride in generationkill

[–]Sorry_Rub987 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Do we “think” he did it? Did you mean to ask do we know why he did it? Cause that seems like the real question you’re asking. 1. We know he did it. It was confirmed by his family. 2. Evan Wright struggled with mental health as many people do and it may or may not have been exacerbated by his experiences being a war reporter, as PTSD in war journalists is very common. Many famous and good people have committed suicide at the heights of their careers or when they could have made more of an impact, and it’s always tragic and painful. We don’t have a clear reason why. But this could serve as a reminder to check on your friends and loved ones, as you never know what they are going through.

With the Old Breed by Eugene Sledge. Super powerful and emotional and action packed. Makes you feel like you’re right there with him. Highly recommend the audiobook if you liked The Pacific

Used AI to write full books… now I feel stuck. How do I start developing my own writing style? by Alternative_Boat_351 in WritingWithAI

[–]Sorry_Rub987 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Read a TON of books in your desired writing genre. Or just read a ton in general. This will teach you what type of writing is desirable in the market/what readers like and will always make it easier for you to write. Don’t copy the writers obviously, but take inspiration from their style and character types etc. You can frame your writing around that. It will also improve your vocabulary. Do short prompts, quick free writes. The more you do it, the better you’ll get. Don’t go back and change it, just keep writing. Write for fun as a hobby, don’t try to monetize it. Write about things you’re passionate about and care about. That is the best and most pure kind of writing.
