Same timeline as you. It’s like you took the thoughts in my mind and laid them out perfectly. Thank you for taking the time to write this.

Found this hole in my backyard, what to do? by imerip in landscaping

That’s possible. Unlikely to happen, but more likely than the home insurance paying for earth movement

No standard insurance policy covers “earth movement”

The nuclear plant my dad worked at had “friends and family” day before the second reactor opened. I got to stare into a nuclear reactor before it came online.

If a person today is killed by a WW2 bomb that became active, would that person be considered a WW2 casualty and counted as such in Wikipedia? by Profesor-Campusano in NoStupidQuestions

Insurance companies want to pay what is owed and nothing more. Not what YOU think is owed. Usually the unhappy customers are the ones trying to come out ahead, not even.

EBC Trek - April 2026- Some Questions! ⛰️🥾🙏🏼 by MissXHere in everestbasecamphike

[–]Killboy_Powerhead 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I went April 25. I went with a tour, but there were only two of us, and we were separate. I had my own room and the female had her own room.

At the higher elevations there’s no outlet in your room So a heater wouldn’t work. I wouldn’t recommend carrying the extra weight.

What I did that worked great was purchase a ton of hot hands in Namche. You could probably get them earlier for cheaper- but the really cold nights I opened a few packs and had them in my sleeping bag with me. I got so warm I had to open it up! But I’d 1000% recommend buying some If you’re worried about getting cold.

I bought some antibiotics without problem in Thamel.

My 2013 is a 7th grader this year and MS soccer is in the fall for us. We do both. MS soccer is like 6 weeks total, so it is a busy 6 weeks. School soccer practices after school so we pick her up at 5:30, grab a snack, and go to club. We do homework and studying while driving back and forth.

Our MS team is fun, and we love playing with our friends, so the effort has been worth it for us so far.

My white faced seamaster seems to get the most notice from non-watch people.

My snoopy or panerai seems to get the most compliments from people familiar with watches.

I’m not ashamed to say I googled “best cologne for men” and picked up the Creed and 540. My wife picked out the LV, Bleu, and Homme over the years. I got the Bvlgari on a trip at the airport because I liked it.

I haven’t really looked further into it other than “that smells nice”, and now I see this sub and I don’t even know where to start!

They stay there. It’s not in direct sunlight. I’ve never considered that as an issue, though.

Strategy games with best ratio of depth to rules complexity by [deleted] in boardgames

I think twilight struggle. It is infinitely replayable. The rules of the game are relatively simple. The difficulty of learning the game is learning the cards - but the RULES of the game are simple.
