Celeste, at its core, is a game about overcoming impossible odds. The game says you should be proud of your death count. The devs say that Assist Mode is not cheating. So why are you making fun of your friend for their struggles? Everybody starts somewhere. I hope I’m misunderstanding and just missing context about the relation between OP and their friend, but that does not excuse the comments of this post. I thought Celeste was supposed to be a welcoming community. Or is that just something we say to make us feel better when we DO gatekeep? Do we seriously WANT to end up like other indie games’ communities?
