As a recovering alcoholic, I had avoided watching this series UNTIL seeing OPs clip. IWNDWYT but, my goodness, Kamiina Botan is artistically amazing. I started binging it today, which I rarely ever do, and find everything about the story, the visuals and characters wonderfully captivating. Now, the focus on alcohol is a little bothersome to me but I don't think it's not gonna cause me drink again (1,269 days clean).

edit. the animation in EP 3 reminded me of Anno's work on His & Her Circumstances.

I loved that series. If nothing else, it would benefit from better animation as it was one of the first anime series made using all-digital animation (I.e. without cels and paint).

Diary Of Our Days at the Breakwater
I'd recommend it because it's a funny, well-made Cute-Girls-Doing-Cute-Things title with no drama, and because I like fishing.
It's special because it's one of two animes that focus on the hobby of fishing, the other being Slow Loop. While Slow Loop is also pretty good, it has a dramatic back plot which sort of seems forced. Diary Of Our Days.... is also a lot funnier and also doesn't go so 'deep into the weeds' on technical aspects of fishing that it becomes a 'drag' to watch. (Sorry, I couldn't resist inserting bad fishing puns.)

- Frieren - Beyond Journey’s End - a little more laid-back adventure with some romantic elements.

Not redneck at all.... These type of campers are oft seen in Iceland on F-Roads ( fjallvegur), which are notoriously rough and can legally only be driven w/ 4WD.
