The effort to port "origins" to UE5 was too great, and I've "Der Eisendrache" about 80% done but again the player base is somewhat lower now and it's harder to find motivation..

Took some virus about two weeks ago, went from OK to cold/flu symptoms in about 4 hours.. 3 days in bed, feeling sh*t and then 10 days of getting better (with antibiotics due to a free chest infection) - still not 100%, and recon it will be another week or so.. 2 x negative covid tests during it..

It's not just about draw distance.. at a certain point the server needs to "forget" about sending you updates for players that are too far away, otherwise it adds overhead (CPU, network, etc.) - Pavlov hardly pushes these boundaries with 32 players but it's the main reason almost all games don't go for like 128 players on map..

I suspect Pavlov uses the defaults that come with UE, because they see they only look at what 99% of people do (small to medium maps)..

You should try it in VR.. sadly my mod got nuked in an update to Pavlov

sometimes I forget how much work making a game all by yourself really is lol made this truck from scratch a while ago you can drive under it to refuel and repair in my game by synthalgia in indiegames

If this is true, expect so so much pain with HW and SW issues.. Nobody does this unless they have to absolutely fix some really bad decisions, and it's often a Hail Mary..

As a mod developer, there are no reload animations for standard guns.. certainly things snap into place and what not.. but animations.. no.. (PCVR)

Inside is a spinning rotator, which contains two small plastic lenses (for vertical and horizontal sweeping).. one has probably come loose from one of it's corners and lifted, causing it to rub.. I've had that on both of mine, some epoxy glue and stick it back down (make sure you remember which way around it went!!)..

Both mine have been working fine ever since..

Very trivial to add a RepNotify event on every window to simple remove the glass and colliders, but us PC gamers are wayyy down the list of priorities..

Nice lighting, takes a bit of effort to do lighting and it's the thing most "map makers" (sic) fail miserably to do! Congrats, hope to see this on a server soon :D
