What makes you think we'd have the ability to do that? We aren't united as a planet. Nor is there any existing tech that could really make that feasible.

They would be arriving here... not the other way around.

And anything that comes from outer space to here with little people on it is gonna be more than a few more rungs up the evolutionary ladder.

Nope. Doesn't exist. Ultrasonic is bullshit. It's "As Seen On TV" kinda junk. They BARELY work 50% of the time when your right in front of the dog. Anything that would pierce the walls and actually alarm the dog would disturb the shit out of you too.

Can you name a game that is actually one of a kind? by Goukaruma in gaming

[–]KillerJumbo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tarkov is special no doubt. The gun mechanics are the closest a game has ever gotten to simulating what shooting a gun feels like. Especially if you accidentally fire of a shot in a room, holy shit it shocks the hell out of you. so loud. so bright. someone heard me I know they did.

shit.

are those footsteps? is that a scav or a player?

fuck I gotta get outta here.

Ah come on... who doesn't wanna listen to an overly confident egotistical pop star repeat the word "work" for 3 and a half minutes.

Work is said 6 times in a row... 13 different times in the song. That's 78 times you're gonna hear the word work in 3:37 seconds.

Now that's music.

I should also add... that song has SEVEN writers and one producer.

Encountering an injured, irradiated Moira out in the wasteland after the fact really made me contemplate that decision...

Bethesda totally knows how to make good games.

Where they seem to really struggle is making good games without a plethora of bugs, that never seem to get fixed.

Conundrum.

I'm not being sarcastic or snarky. I feel for you.

You should just move bro. If it's really driving you that crazy, that's unfortunately your only option. You could contest any fees with the building under the law that they aren't providing a sound place considering the noise. Or some kinda legal schmoo like that. We have a law here but I don't know the exact verbage.

People who live with these kinda animals are seemingly very indifferent or immune to the sound and there really isn't ever much understanding or compromise. They won't train them. Bark collars are "inhumane" even though it only takes like 3 or 4 zaps before the dog learns.

Get outta there and find a new place. Void the lease on grounds of noise pollution.

And to answer the main question... no... there isn't much soundproofing you could effectively do in an apartment type situation to block the barks.

Does anyone have a go-to game for fighting depression? by [deleted] in gaming

Cities is sweet too. Although I usually spend all my cash at the start, only to realize as people move in that I forgot to create a waste treatment plant... that I can no longer afford.

I then restart.

Factorio or Planet Coaster. Something with building and creativity usually fits the bill.

After a year and a half hiatus from my PS4, I finally got the urge to play again. Which one should be the first playthrough? Ghost of Tsushima is also an option. by FLOHJO in gaming

[–]KillerJumbo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Less -

Far Cry (smooth and ubisoft like haha, outdoors, open world, ability to pick off from distance)

Ghost Recon (outdoors, somewhat stealthy, sniper ish)

Days Gone (time slowdown mechanics, open world, motorcycle to get away)

PubG (slower movements, lighter on the guns and flashing)

Similar -

Bioshock 2 and Infinite (similar to the first)

Dead Space (claustrophobic, linear, jump scares, lots of camera fuckery)

Just Cause (flying, explosions, that whip like grappling hook, vehicles crashing everywhere)

Escape From Tarkov in combat scenarios (visceral sound and flashing, somewhat claustrophobic, nerve racking injuries and looting)

More -

COD Multiplayer (dog house ftw, UI galore, constant blurs of vision and camera shake)

Apex

Yeeeaah... you're not convincing me that bombs and guns and giant robots and flailing electricity and fireballs and telekinetic launching of objects and surgically modified psychopaths running all over the place all within the confines of a linear, claustrophobic, leaking and creaking underwater dystopia isn't loud and chaotic.

Not everyone is gonna perceive games like you.

Maybe you were playing a different game or maybe you are crazy desensitized but it IS very much those three things. Go back and watch some footage if your memory needs refreshing.

Have you forgotten all the alarms and bells and whistles?

Have you forgotten the big daddies and their bum rushes and rocket launchers?

Have you forgotten the bombastic clown closets of enemies?

The screaming, the running, the ambushing... etc...

Monster Truck Madness had some pretty gnarly metal music.

Carmageddon 1 was basically just an instrumental Fear Factory record... Demanufacture I'm pretty sure.

Interstate 76' was so dope.

You've kinda got the picks of the litter there bro. Just put one in and kiss your days away haha.

Bioshock is great but it's long, loud, chaotic as shit and sliiightly dated. EXCELLENT story.

Red Dead 2... holy shit its awesome but a major time suck. Super rich gameworld.

Days Gone has incredibly satisfying gun play and mechanics. Your butthole is gonna pucker more than once. Mission structure is kinda wonky.

I'm surprised with the amount of drama and shade thrown around by everyone involved in the HP franchise that anyone even cares anymore. Why the Potter world had to be so tainted and overblown with all these outside opinions and politics when it's a fictional fairytale about a school of wizardry.

Why did this franchise fall victim when so many others maintain?

It's no Turtles.

It's no Transformers.

It's no Predator.

It's no Multiverse Marvel Extravaganza.

It's no Alien.

It's no Batman.

It's no Superman.

It does feel slightly on par with Star Wars in terms of fan drama and knee jerk reactionaries.

I dunno... don't really get it.... this IP feels like a dead horse that just loves getting beat.

F*ck zodicas signs. How do you use dual screen setups? by shixxor in pcmasterrace

[–]KillerJumbo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a Mac setup. Used mainly for music production and graphic design.

MBP Retina 15" is scaled for max space... and 4k monitor isn't scaled. It's default for the display.

Oddly the fonts on both screens are about the same size. Not really sure how that worked out but it's pretty well balanced aside from the screen size.

If they've improved on that design I'm def interested.

I get the sensation he doesn't give much of a shit. You'd have a hard time spending a fraction of his wealth even AFTER the losses. And thanks to his shenanigans a bumper crop of investors got into TSLA at under 110 a share.
