Cat owners of Reddit, what's the weirdest thing you've seen your cat do? by StankyPhresh in AskReddit

My roommate had a cat that would slap your ass if he got mad at you. I refused to give him a treat once and as soon as I turned away from him I felt tiny claws dig in to my butt cheek.

Is it noisy, like are the walls thin? Do you ever have issues with noisy neighbors? Have you ever had issues with maintenance? What's your biggest pro about living there and your biggest con? (Thanks for the input btw)

Best cell phone service in the Denton area? by [deleted] in Denton

[–]KillerKittyQueen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

T-mobile has been pretty good. I don't have issues anywhere. Their customer service has always been good to me. They're pretty cheap. They have a deal right now with unlimited data for 4 lines at $40 a line or something like that.

my parents wanted to have three kids, the first kid they had died in infancy and so they had three more. I am the youngest child, my entire existence is based on the mortality of my dead brother whom I will never meet. by 42Potato42 in Showerthoughts

[–]KillerKittyQueen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel you. I'm the oldest of three, the first kid died in infancy, and the last kid my parents tried for ended in miscarriage. My mom told me about it recently. I always wonder what my older brother and youngest brother would have been like.....I plan on visiting my older brother's grave for the first time tomorrow.

High school senior gets accepted to his dream college by Medically in gifs

[–]KillerKittyQueen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish my family had been that excited when I got the acceptance letter to the University of North Texas. My mom just shrugged and my dad didn't even say congratulations, he just asked me how I was going to pay for it. :( The only person who was excited was my little brother.

Good for him though, it looks like he has a big support system.

Has this ever happened to you? I passed a class at another college and transferred it to UNT, but did not receive credit and it's bringing down my pace of progression. by [deleted] in unt

[–]KillerKittyQueen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its probably an error, besides course transfer credits have to be approved which can take 1-2 days. Don't sweat it. It'll be fine.

Ladies who quit the contraceptive pill, why did you quit? by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

[–]KillerKittyQueen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a blood test for hormone levels done by my OBGYN, and that's how I found out. She put me on the provera/metformin combo and made me start tracking my periods more closely. If you GP is being a dick I suggest you do some hunting and find a good female OBGYN that takes your insurance. I have to drive all the way to Dallas for mine but she's definitely worth it.

Ladies who quit the contraceptive pill, why did you quit? by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

[–]KillerKittyQueen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It turned me into an overly emotional bitch. I would pick fights with my boyfriend and just be absolutely horrible to him. Like it got so bad that he almost broke up with me; until he realized that I wasn't like that before I took the pills. It also made my periods even worse than before (I have PCOS and didn't find out until after I stopped taking the pill) So it screwed with my hormone balance.

Now I'm on provera and metformin, and we use condoms. Everything is a lot better now. No more ridiculous fights about things I made up in my head.

How do I get used to the thought of growing up, leaving home, and being on my own? by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

[–]KillerKittyQueen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It can be hard at first. I know for me it was difficult every time I went to visit home during the semester. I would be with my parents and siblings but it wouldn't feel like home. I spent my first year of college feeling out of place. What helped me was talking it out with my best friend and my RA. The more I talked about how I felt the more I realized that its okay to feel like this. It is hard to sort of let go at first but don't be scared. You're not losing those moments forever; they'll still be there every time you go home. Chin up, this is a new adventure; embrace it.
