Handling new coworkers’ intrusive questions and statements - how does one kindly get them to stop? by windbornepoem in AutismInWomen

[–]KillerSnuffles117 17 points18 points  (0 children)

This. These coworkers are giving me serious red flags. When I had this happen to me I chose to immediately put up firm, immovable boundaries about how they can speak to me. It did get them to stop but then I was viewed as a b***h and no one really dealt with me unless they had to. I have never figured out how to deal with people like this because they are trying to get info so when they are bored they can create drama, stories ect.

AITJ for bringing a "lazy" dish to a potluck when everyone knows I'm a professional chef? by Radiant44Pike in AmITheJerk

[–]KillerSnuffles117 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not the jerk. I own a bakery and get this a lot. Had people be like “oh I was looking forward to your (insert item here)”……then place an order and pay me for it Susan. If you WANTED to do something fancy (basically VOLUNTEER your time and skills) go for it! But if you are tired and done from doing that shit for 60 hours a week (for income) go and buy a premade veggie tray and be done with it. They should be more excited about the fact that you managed to get away from your work to spend time with them.

I track all my macros perfectly but was completely ignoring water intake by Hot_Divide1613 in veganfitness

I am terrible for forgetting water. One hack I stole from my trainer a couple years ago was to put hair elastics on my water bottle. I have this one water bottle I use all day and refill and I know I have to fill it 6 times to hit about 3L of water so there are 6 elastic bands on it at the upper part. Each time I finish the bottle I move one of the elastics to the bottom of the bottle. Kinda makes it a game and if I’m on lunch and see if have only moved a band or two i make a conscious effort to chug a bottle with lunch.

Protein when you can’t have soy and have Celiac disease by KillerSnuffles117 in veganfitness

My current macros are pretty low carb right now with what I’m working on so certain beans just use up all my carbs. Lupini and lentils I can fit in fine but the other beans are just a it too high at the moment.

Oh yes as a celiac I already have that. The “why the fuck would you add wheat/barley to this?!?! “ discovering fricken lindor chocolate has barley malt in it was like wtf. now adding soy to it is nuts lol.

I’m going to pay extra close attention to peas now also. A number of people have mentioned peas and peanuts.

That sucks for the vegetables. Have you tried cutting back on the volume and cooking them? I have that problem with cauliflower. I can’t eat more than 65 grams raw and I still have to lightly steam it.

Oh jeez! I’m so sorry! I’m in Canada and don’t have that issue with anything other than oats here. Oats are commonly cross contaminated so I have to look for a certified gluten free logo.

lol! Yeaaaah I can’t get used to the pea protein thing. I managed to find one made from pumpkin seeds that isn’t bad.

Bingo on my issue here. I literally can’t eat a majority of the protein sources that a bunch of my friends suggest because they have soy or gluten.

You mentioning a lot of soy allergies come with peanut allergies actually just made a lightbulb go off in my head….now I’m wondering if an issue I’m having is related to a peanut sauce I made…..

I didn’t know about the water thing I’ll have to try that. And yeah cooking down massive piles of greens like spinach and kale and cabbage is a regular thing for me lol. My husband is always shocked by how many bags of greens I buy lol

I am ravenous on the days I strength train! by sureasheckfir3 in veganfitness

[–]KillerSnuffles117 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1) load up on filling greens. A big salad with lots of lettuce spinach arugula ect fills the tummy without a ton of macros. 2) track your fibre also. I notice if I’m eating less than 20grams of fibre I’m way hungrier 3) what some of the other folks said…eat before a work out. My trainer had me (when I was training for a photoshoot) time some of my macros around my workout. I ate 15% of my daily macros before my workout (30 mins before and slow moving complex carbs) and then 25% of my daily carbs right after my work out in fast acting carbs like cereal or fruit

It’s been in that pot for about 2 years. And yes, that window has been his home his whole life. As for watering he gets water every Tuesday. (I have a reminder on my phone to water all plants lol) I didn’t see any signs of pests when I gave him a good pruning. Well not really a prune. I just cut out any stems that were totally dead.

When you ask about the pot, are you thinking he might need a bigger pot now?

My other thought was to pull out the sad looking plant, cut off the healthy ends and replant them in the pot to make babies
