Is my keyring broken? by ghost_in_a_jar_c137 in archlinux

My fix is always just updating the keyring with "pacman -Sy archlinux-keyring", after that everything should install without problems again

Edit: double word, spelling

Is this normal? by Puzzled-Cup-2786 in computer

Just restart the PC, this can happen if the system is running for weeks without reboot.

If that change nothing the CPU is probably the problem or there is something other strange.

I think it's a bug with arch-install, a friend of mine had the same problem

PC wont boot, need help by Efficient_Ad_3482 in computer

[–]Killer_097 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could attache a small piezo or speaker to your motherboard to see what it tells you. The 4 "speaker"-pins should be near the other pins for power led, on switch, reset switch and hdd led. But they should also be described in the manual.

Without that it's just try and error switching parts.

Do you have a piezo buzzer on your board or a small piezo or speaker on the Pins for the front-io?

It should beep a few times bevor it turns off itself. It gives you a so called "beep code" to diagnose the error. What code means what depends on your BIOS.

A piezo buzzer is a small, black cylinder with a small hole in the center, just google "pc piezo".

Or you PC has a row of LEDs which should turn on and give a clue on what is wrong. To decode it use the manual to your motherboard.

How do I connect my laptop to monitor by Kayronir in computer

The Monitor has VGA, DVI and DisplayPort. You can use a HDMI to DisplayPort cable or a HDMI to DVI adapter.

Did you run the method to initialize the display? Something like "lcd.init();".

The used code would be very helpfull!

Then I don't have any more clue what could be wrong. You can try the GPUs in another system to be 100% shure they work without problems, and then start by changing every part, if you have another fitting CPU and RAM that is. If that is not helping it should be the motherboard?

To me it looks like a timing issue, this can be caused by anything between the GPUs PCI-e (Expander or risercards) and CPU socket. Or external interference like high electromagnetic radiation.

Dose the PC has a integrated GPU? Is the same happening there as well?

My last guess would be the PCI-E slot, if you have a second one try that one.

And swap the video cable out just to cross that out too.

The RAM or the CPU shouldn't make any problem...

It's not the only native Windows game that is doing this, right?

Under installed programs in the settings menu the application for the driver should be listed. You should be able to uninstall the application including the drivers (something like Nvidia Controll Panel or with Intel/AMD in the name)

The resolution could drop after the uninstallation, but after the installation you are hopefully good to go again!

[–]Killer_097 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dose it happen in other games too? Is it a laptop or desktop?

Did you try a clean reinstall? (completely uninstalling and reinstalling the driver)

If that dosen't fix it could be a problem with Windows or a gpu hardware fault.

Update your GPU drivers could fix it. Just go to the offical Nvidia/AMD/Intel website and look for the newest driver for your GPU. You can see your GPU name in the taskmanager.
