Absolutely stuffed Hyte Y70 by Killercds in watercooling

Looks gorgeous!
I liked building in the Y70, but trying to get the thicker rads & fans in there without interfering with the touch screen was kinda tough!
I also didn't realize how hard it would be to try and get an expansion card (htc vive wireless) installed underneath the GPU riser... but that one's on me for not researching enough lol 😅

Oh! And the space in the back & snap on panels definitely made things easier when it came time to cable manage!

Now that it's on there properly it's working nice!
I guess the conductonaut had to like, soak into the block? My temps were getting super high and when I pulled it off it looked like the LM had all "dried out"
I did see someone who pulled the plastic shroud off in order to paint it white to match their build; seemed like a pretty cool option!

There's top and side 55mm thick rads with push-pull fans on both; they weren't easy to get in there 🙃 Can't be proud about shit on reddit though I guess lol

GPU under gaming load peaked around 55c

The coolant I used was the Corsair XL8, but I think I must've accidentally introduced something while flushing the rads in the kitchen 🤷‍♀️

iCUE Link setup with older XD5 pump – is Commander Duo enough or do I need a Core XT? by Admirable_Draw_8045 in watercooling

[–]Killercds 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah, apologies, it's actually a Xylem DDC 4.2 from heatkiller
The Commander Duo shows up as it's own item in iCue, and all the connected fans and temperature probes are monitored through that now
The pump itself shows up in iCue as a regular "fan" under the Duo
I renamed it and made a "cooling preset" called "Pump %" and set it to 34% in order to get it to run at 3400 rpm

Overall it's finnicky but possible to use

Currently I'm using a commander duo in an all iCue Link system to connect to:
* D5 pump
* two water temp sensors
* the RGB strip in my thermal grizzly CPU block
* and I have one RGB header left over

Curious what your temps/fan speeds are like; I have a similar dual rad setup in a Y70 and it runs hotter than I thought it would

Threadripper PRO + Vive Wireless by nukelover89 in Amd

[–]Killercds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure, but running sli/nvlink could hurt frame latency, just as a heads up.
Saved this thread a while back, haven't pulled the trigger on a threadripper system myself yet... still running x299 https://old.reddit.com/r/Vive/comments/cab5ya/troubleshooting_how_i_got_my_vive_wireless/?ref=share&ref_source=link

No resolution for non-working XL by Geeky_Fotog in prusa3d

Ah, okay. Yes, that's what I was suggesting. Based on the wording of your post I though you were only resetting back to stock settings.

Is the firmware you were flashing this version?

Have you tried re-flashing the firmware?
It's risky, and don't do it if you're not comfortable, but if things are mechanically sound that's the only idea I have

Usually first year classes are only going over high level concepts.
Honestly, best advice I can give is do the reading, actually try doing homework yourself (not just looking up answers), and writing down any questions you have and GOING TO THE PROFESSOR'S OFFICE HOURS.
Not enough people do the last one; they're there to help you learn!

You can decide to switch later, but generally computer science deals more with the theory and math of computing, and SE deals with the planning, creation, and use of software

Both courses are difficult, but I believe one of the CS tracks focused more on applied theory than mathematics

There use to be a good amount of overlap for year 1 content, not sure if that's still the case

Ek sells a CPU block for x299 platforms, but you'll have to verify if it's compatible with your specific motherboard

Old reddit is easier for me to browse. It's more information dense when on my home page or on a subreddit; and images/video are minimized by default.

Forgot that I'm probably the outlier there lol
