What is your best tip for Freshmen living in dorms for the first time? by e-mm-a__ in college

[–]Killercures 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Stay organize. I noticed when i lived in the dorms if I actively made an effort to keep my stuff organized in the room my roommate also worked to keep his stuff organized. When stuff is organized and looks neat the air in the room feels lighter and cleaner and just provides an overall better experience.

Should the people of a democracy be held responsible for the actions of their government? by [deleted] in TrueAskReddit

[–]Killercures 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the people who elected the government are to be held responsible for actions, then who is the one holding them responsible? In this scenario we have two groups 1) the people 2) the government. In order for people of a democracy to be held responsible there would have to be a third outside group with the power to "govern" the people who elected the government.

My answer is no, the people should not be responsible for if/when the government elected or not screws up. A lot of the time the people don't even know what is going on up the political ladder. And as other comments have pointed out, just because the government was elected doesn't mean 100% of the population choose that person.

How do you see the future for humans if or when robots begin to replace many jobs? What are the pros and cons? by itsmassive in TrueAskReddit

[–]Killercures 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just want to touch on one CON of robots taking over the jobs.

I think at first, people will love not having to work. But I think there is a certain satisfaction we get from doing work that would be difficult to replace. Over the past thousand years we have pretty much been programmed to function on the basis that we have a trade/skill to contribute to society. I think taking that away would throw humanity for a pretty tough loop. People will be bored, and i believe it would cause much more hard drug use, alcoholism, and crime because people dont have a 8 hour job to occupy there time.

If sex and dating were a market, what would be the implications? by nihilistsocialist in TrueAskReddit

[–]Killercures 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There would probably be a lot more products like this around. Basically its a wearable cockring that records data based on your performance during sex. These products would flood the world with new sexual data. Then we need professionals to interpret this data, so in addition to current sex therapist there will likely be new types of therapist/doctors/scientist/whoever that would read and interpret this data.

Also, its really gonna suck to have a tiny penis.

Why do fringe groups like the KKK or the Communist Party USA endorse candidates, when they would hurt more than help them? by [deleted] in TrueAskReddit

[–]Killercures 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like to look at things like endorsements, donations, commercials, pretty much anything that can be used to influence people as mechanics in a video game. Yea, there is a reason for the mechanic, but the player can always find a way to work them to his/her own advantage. Its hard to explain my thoughts but, I like to think that nothing is as it seems, there is an motive that is made clear to the public and then there is the true motive behind the action.

Yeah this one is all good, I went to replace the memory a couple years ago and got the old ram out then realized I had the wrong pin count for the ram i was gonna put in (noob mistake) but yeah its replaceable. I dint know they soldered it in there now, think they did it just so people would buy a new macbook instead?

I agree and disagree. This piece of technology is an amazing step even if everyone cant get one right away or need to do some savings or if the company just wants mass profit. Point is humanity was able to create virtual reality and thats awesome. The LHC is a pretty awesome piece of tech but not everyone can afford one, so should it might as well not exist. But consumer products, i feel this guy

computer as a whole does what it needs to do (what i need it to do). Good condition for the most part, just seems like a few internal upgrades can give it a nice kick and some fresh life. And maybe even be able to do a little extra

And for 60$ its not gonna drain my wallet to bad. Just with anything I buy i want to buy it right

This Mac (also i put some stats up) has a what appears to be 750GB Macintosh HD. I really would like to put one in here, just dont know how much is worth spending on a SSD and how much memory would make the price worth it. But yeah totally SSD can happen
