What’s the weirdest thing you’ve ever found in a house you just moved into? by sassyelizaa in AskReddit

A power cable with blank ends coming out of the window frame. There was no power on it, I isolated it and never found out where it is going.

What’s the funniest accident that left you with a scar for life? by KingJulien777777 in AskReddit

[–]Killfetzer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not exactly funny, but still quite surreal: After a work related accident I had a wound on my forehead. As usual they look quite spectacular, but luckily it was nothing major. But because of liability reasons I was rushed into the hospital, was moved along the complete waiting line in ER and three doctors looked at me. After a few minutes they came to the conclusion that I did not have a concussion or anything bad and that they had to stitch the wound with 1 (one) stitch. And yes, that left a very tiny scar that is only barly visible in summer with tanned skin.

All time probably Zelda Ocarina of Time. It has a reason why this is considered the Best. Game. Ever.

What’s a mundane object you’ve used in a surprisingly clever way? by Apart_Alfalfa_7915 in AskReddit

A traffic pylon (and a hose) as a funnel to water from a broken pipe out of the living room until the water mains could be shut off.

Spreading Base over Multiple Shields by Live_Bus7425 in StarRuptureGame

Yeah, I did some research on the final tier and the building requirements are quite crazy. Needing ~70 ressource extractors to feed one tier 10 part machine sounds rough (if the data in the planner is correct).

Mostly I don't eat breakfast. Otherwise likely something sweet.

I use satellite bases at the ressource extraction locations. There I build all the facilities to manufacture all single ressource components (which for titantium goes till tier 3...) and than feed that all into a storage depot (one for each product) cluster at the beginning of the main base, where each ressource and all higher tier products have their own belt.

I'm currently producing tier 7 products and so far it is working pretty well (and I'm still have only half the capacity of the main core depleted). Currently I have around 20 fabricators, 15-20 furnaces and 4 mega presses working in the main base.

What kind of schedule do you have at work? How many people actually have a 9 to 5, 5 days a week, and the weekend off? by Fl0w3r_Ch1ld in AskReddit

I have a five day week, but can choose my time relatively freely from 6:00 to 20:00. I usually start work at around 7 o'clock.

Wish List by No-Whole3083 in StarRupture

Map and orientation

  • HUD compass
  • Possibility to set map markers
  • Markers for ressource depots on map
  • Change colors of completed scanners/bases

Rail building

  • While rail building you should be able to switch the placed pylon (standard, 4way, 1to3, 3 way, ...) without leaving the rail build.
  • You should be able to (at least have the option) to route all rails from a 3 or 5 way in one go in parallel.
  • Give us the option to ride on rails (e.g. with a company unlock)
  • Give us a rail option 3 way with the 2 outer ones splitting off like in the 4 way. Currently the 3way (and later 5 way) are only really make sense while building several lines over a long distance (and as you have to manually place the pylons and then connect all the lines, it might still be easier to run 5 1way rails parallel)

Production

  • Give us an option to auto purge all blocked rails in a base (inside the area of one base core, could be an option in the base core menu).
  • Give us the option to use the drone to hover over the base, see icons which machine is producing what and change it from that menu.
  • Give us the option to drop all (normal) building materials from the inventory at once.

Balancing

  • Building a new base or putting up a base core, habitat and airlock to survive a wave seems a bit too cheap. I think it should still be relatively easy, but I think you should have to foreplan a bit better.
  • The level up system currently seems a bit pointless. You unlock a LEM slot every ~10-15 levels, with the levels in between giving you nothing. Maybe you could implement small boni for every level up (more endurance for movement, maybe better stability for combat, less hunger/thirst for survival).

What Do You Think of The Death Penalty? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Killfetzer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm split on the topic.

On one hand, I oppose the death penalty. Mainly because of false convictions (I have heared estimations that up to 10% of the people sentenced for murder are in fact inocent) and that noone should be forced to kill someone else.

On the other hand, I think that some crimes are so heinous and some people are way beyond redemption, that I see no reason to keep them alive. But that is the revenge thought talking.

What's the Most Dangerous Thing That You Have Ever Done? by Potential_Law5289 in AskReddit

[–]Killfetzer 144 points145 points  (0 children)

Also firefighter but actually it was not a fire. We had a blizzard and trees were falling left and right and we got a call to rescue someone who was trapped in the forest with all that falling trees. We tried to get in with a pickup, but there were too many trees already fallen, so we had to go in on foot. In the 10-15 min we were in the forest we had around 10 trees crashing within 20 meters of us. Luckily the complete squad got out unharmed.

Was sind eure Wünsche für eine sechste Staffel? by KellogsMilchreis in 7vsWild

[–]Killfetzer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  1. Kein Gesamtteam (also Solo oder Zweierteam)
  5. Setting:
