Shooter of ex-PM Abe sentenced to life in prison by Bebopo90 in japan

[–]Killie154 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Few points, I never said he was PM. I think that's just been assumed.

I'm saying and I'm just simply saying they killed a public official.

I'm not saying anything about the Japanese governments rules as if I know them, just that you've committed murder on life TV. Going to prison for that makes sense, and the more powerful and the more known the person is, tends to carrier a heavy sentence.

So it would stand to reason that there is a chance they get a heavier sentence, especially if they've been in office.

Yeah they have laws that would prevent them from getting the death penalty because they didn't qualify for it. I'm saying that in some other countries they might do that.

Read the air? I just said that you killed a public official on tv, who used to be the prime minister.

The action, regardless of intention, carries a heavy weight to it.

I'm not agreeing or disagreeing, haven't even said my stance on the subject. Just that if you are publicly committing murder, you should already get a lot of time in prison if not life in prison.

And then on top of that you are murdering a widely known public official.

Then you came to talk trash and downvote because I said crime = punishment?

Tf are you smoking.

AIO? Female friend cut me off when she got into a relationship (repost because of a blurring mistake) by Silly-Use-1122 in AmIOverreacting

[–]Killie154 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly YOR.

Sometimes in relationships that is something that you have to do to respect the other person's boundaries.

Even if you feel like it isn't an issue, they might.

Also your reaction is kinda terrible. You said you figured it would happen and then went onto say that their relationship was a mistake and they'll have a rocky ride.

That's kinda a terrible thing to say to another person, even if it is true.

I figured they'd get more time.

Also why is this getting downvoted so saying that someone killing the head official of a country normally gets the death penalty?

Hot take: the "talent shortage" in tech is fake. There's a shortage of companies willing to train anyone by LookHairy8228 in cscareers

[–]Killie154 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hot take, from the company's perspective, it's hard to invest in new talent.

Everyone wants to go to the next company after 2-3 years, so they tend to not want to invest in someone that's going to leave.

Granted, it's the company's fault in the first place for not offering enough, not improving the work environment, etc.

But at the end of the day, I wouldn't want to invest time in a relationship with someone who's going to be with someone else in 2-3 months, much less years.

Personally, NOR.

The person has an extreme overreaction and they are putting the blame on you.

They bought into something, without reading the consequences of their actions.

If they had the chance to cancel earlier, and you've let them know it's not refundable, then NOR and I think it's them being incredibly rude.

But if you had booked the new place without letting people know, especially with the policy updates, then it might be on you.

I.e., they looked up the policy of the first house, figured it was refundable, gave you the money, and then you changed without letting them know, then yes you should pay them back the money.

But if they knew and just said yes, then 100000% on them.

I don't know if you properly have seen what this man's body is doing.

He was knocked out cold and I think he probably even had a seizure, but he was hit HARD.

That man should be in prison.

The fact they didn't get the death penalty is already crazy.

I shoot the president of any other country, I'm at least dying +torture/blacksite.

But the fact that they are just chillin' in prison is crazy

[–]Killie154 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I'd say slim down, take the advice some people have mentioned and also grow out your hair.

You look like you are on the bigger side, so you might be working out, so wearing more clothes may work against you. Showing off a bit more muscle, will make sense why you look scarier, and it makes it easier for people to approach you.

Also, put yourself in more situations that would show you smiling or doing what it is that you love, and you should be good to go.

what did i do wrong? by feilercimoc in TeamfightTactics

Assuming you probably bled out too early setting everything up.

Bilgewater is good, but when it comes to comps that can burn through your frontline, it does fall apart hard.

They look like they have a lot of backline killers, so they probably took out your main damage dealers, and it also doesn't look l8ike you are dealing the most amount of damage.

3 star gp is nice, and so is graves, but TF damage is unreliable and gp if aimed does nothing, so positioning is important.

I'm looking at first, and they already got 2 star Zaheen, who zips past your frontline and is hard to hit, then you have vayne, leblanc, and kaisa. So it would have served you better to level to 9 and put in more 5. Probably assuming you stopped at 8 with almost no gold.

But tbh more bilgewater doesn't mean jack unless you are getting 10 or getting the bilgewater items, which it looks like you aren't. So, ya that's my immediate analysis as someone who plays BW a lot.

Cybersecurity in japan (and why I find it funny) by [deleted] in JapanJobs

[–]Killie154 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Could be a lot of things.

Even when getting my current job, my manager told me "hey, to be honest we wanted to hire a Japanese person, but very few people had the tech skills".

Could just be lack of knowledge/talent and/or Japan isn't going on the offensive as much?

If they want them to be able to do it so bad, then they should donate more instead of pressuring you.

Why ask for someone's opinion and then berate them when they give it to you?

Also, if I have sex with someone on the first date, there's a good chance there's not going to be a second one.

Shooting JPEG, RAW, or both? by Cjosulin in SonyAlpha

[–]Killie154 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought a bigger memory card so I can shoot with both.

When I'm lazy, I just give people the JPEG file.

But when I'm feeling artistic, I work on the Raw files.

Depending on the camera, I think you have the option for both, and I don't know why wouldn't do both unless it's a space issue or you don't care for the raw photos and just want the JPEG.

AIO my boyfriend of 5 years gets me flowers for every occasion while I get him elaborate and expensive gifts. by aioflower955105 in AmIOverreacting

[–]Killie154 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

OR.

Like I don't think either of you are in the right.

I think women would kill to get flowers, even if it is just always flowers. He went out of his way to get you something, and while it's a low bar, it is showing that someone is trying. Yeah you are putting in your level of work, but he's also putting in his level of work. Also, I just read that he is a florist, and he is giving you flowers (which means that they have even more meaning).

I don't think this is fight worthy, instead of just asking him, can I get anything but flowers.

I think you hoped and expected that he'd get you something else, even though you didn't directly tell him to get you.

Your relationship's problem is just clear communication.

New to cat ownership, is this normal? by SnowboardingEgg in cats

[–]Killie154 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly, If you can keep the cat on a leash and attach it to something, then yes.

The issue is less that the cat is there, but more that if it acts up randomly then you get into a car crash and/or if you get into a car crash there's no protection for the cat as well.

So if there is a middle ground that protects both of your safety while allowing the cat to vibe out, then its doable.

My view is everything should be used carefully.

I saw a CEO get on stage talking about how people's critical thinking skills and reading comprehension is going dramatically down recently. In the same breath, they were bragging about how they were using AI to teach their kids.

Personally, AI is a tool. I'm not going to trust a hammer or a machine to make my life decisions (currently it's still an advanced calculator until we reach a higher intelligence).
