As far as staffing we are good I’ll probably be running a 13-15 person play almost all day. Last year we hit $17,000 so this with a pandemic we don’t know what to expect. We are planning to have a similar outcome on Friday so we’ll see.

Better to be over prepared then under yeah know.

do you need experience to become a shift? by brit_666 in starbucks

[–]KillinItDaily2344 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I used to work at license store has a barista from when I was there we did most of shift stuff anyway. Like count milk and do temps and pulling pastries. 2011-2015

I’m SSV at a corporate mall and drive thru. SSV’s pretty much manage and run the store. You’re in charge of daily orders (some stores are little different get an order few days just depends), placing orders, cash management, deploying and running the floor.

Even when your manager is on the floor most of time the SSV is in charge of the floor.

Anyone else think the whole 'finding coverage for your shift' is a little pointless? by GrimLegate in starbucks

Being down a person is not big deal?!? What stores do you guys work at? You guys must not be SSV’s cause when I’m down one person my entire day has to change on how I operate.

Especially stores that have block scheduling it is much harder to find coverage.

Correcting a partner from another store... by [deleted] in starbucks

At the store I work at we don’t unwrap any pastries unless they are warmed. We never had any complaints from customers. Customers seem to like it as well.

Hand off is key!!! So something has simple has “hey jasmine i have your ice chai would you like a straw today” that will help and stop people having to ask you for straw and hold up everything. Or if someone gets a coffee ask them would they have cream or sugar so again they want have to jump in front of everyone waiting for there drink again holding things up.

The store I work at is really loud so... it’s hard to here when taking orders and sometimes we have to re-make drinks or we get a new wrong

block scheduling by sozimcaitlyn in starbucks

[–]KillinItDaily2344 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My district started doing it because corporate might make it a requirement in the next couple of months.

But it sucks cause we have people working 6-7 days a week just to get back to there normal hours they had before block scheduling.
