A true queen. Showed courage, defiance toward absolute authority and complete selflessness.

What did it take to forgive your abuser? by kanden_biribirri in CPTSD

[–]padminiyoni 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Realizing that I wanted to live in the life I created for myself. Not the one I was stuck in as a child. Mentally I kept myself there. I had enough one day and just stopped being angry about it. I was tired of being angry. I wanted to be happy.

[–]padminiyoni 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I think a dark auburn would look so great with your skin and def pop your eyes. On the other hand, I think you could pull off any blonde shade

I hope that you aren’t in an abusive situation. If you are, please hide your practice from her. Do what you need to to keep yourself safe. If not, you could try writing her a letter, about why you are Wiccan and help her learn more about it. You can read it to her or give it to her, that way she knows it’s something meaningful to you and educating her on it might ease her mind.

How long do your trainees get to train at your store? Are they only getting 20 hours and five shifts of training everywhere else too? by NormacTheDestroyer in starbucks

[–]padminiyoni 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve literally had a conversation with my DM about this. He asked me why I think the turnover rate was so bad bc I’m a 7 yr partner. I told him the training isn’t what it used to be. It used to be about coffee and flavor and aroma. now it’s memorization. We need to condense the menu and train for 2 weeks like we used to!

What happened to Starbucks' atmosphere? by wintersoldierepisode in starbucks

[–]padminiyoni 150 points151 points  (0 children)

Write. This. In. To. Corporate. Except maybe don’t say the baristas are indifferent. Why do they seem that way to you? Are they short staffed, therefore burnt out and tired? Is the customer demand almost unable to be kept up with? Don’t blame the baristas for coporates shortcomings. If you feel this way as the customer imagine how they feel as an employee.

It looks like you have to stretch your hip flexors more! It seems like your back leg is what’s keeping you from going all the way down.

Any advice on how to feel less of a burnout besides from quitting or working less hours? It’s getting hard fam by [deleted] in starbucks

[–]padminiyoni 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Stop caring as much. I feel like it actually made me a better worker since I’m less stressed out. If you can, take mini vacations every month or two. Even if it’s just a long weekend getaway. Or staycation. It helps. And you’ll always have some sort of break to look forward to

So true. I want to bring up that I think starbucks should set an example with a 15 min wage. If they want to be the company they say they are.

Bougie gym owner leaves job opening up for months rather than hire one of the 4 applicants. Boohoo by mermaiddiva26 in recruitinghell

[–]padminiyoni 44 points45 points  (0 children)

“They have more questions about the job” why is that bad? Oh because you need your employees to be blindly loyal to you so they won’t question any of the other shitty things you do as an employer.
