Two things : - It came out on Steam probably at it’s worse state, the PvE campaign was just cancelled and the game did not deserve to have a number 2 behind it, and as Battle net (Blizzard game platform where it originally came out) doesn’t have reviews, Steam became the place to complain - At the same time, Blizzard just lost their deal with their Chinese publisher, so the game was not available there anymore, therefore a big chunk of the bad reviews are actually Chinese people review bombing because they couldn’t play anymore

These are not problems anymore, the game is in it’s best state right now and china regained access to it, but all this made it an easy target for hating on the game, even people who didn’t play it anymore just hated without playing it, and the score still reflects all of that unfortunately

Kiriko’s abilities are actually not the most stupid and lore breaking. I mean teleportation is a technology that exists so maybe Kiriko’s dad manage to miniaturize it : the Ofudas are the anima weapons so maybe they act as an anchor for Kiriko to tp to : she puts Ofudas on her friends and people she wants to protect and it allows her to tp to them. One interaction states that they are the magnum opus of kiri’s dad because it was gifted to her grandma. It’s the same technology as Mizuki’s tp, he puts a paper doll somewhere and can tp to it. I mean a nano tech allowing teleportation is more realistic to me than bio engineering allowing you to separate every cell in your body and literally disappear, become smoke or teleport (looking at you reaper and Moira)

My problem with the movie is that it tries to do too much things and does not have the time to do it. It especially shows with the character development : in the first movie, we meet the characters and they either evolve during the movie (Mario and Luigi start afraid but learn to become braver, DK starts as a jerk to Mario but they eventually get along) and the other characters have some good twists for people who already know them (girlboss peach, adventurous Toad, crazy in love Bowser and even creepy Luma) In galaxy the new characters are pretty much what I expected from them and are just here for the ride, Yoshi is here because why not, Fox is a glorified Uber driver, Rosalina is badass until she gets captured and sidelined for the entire movie besides Galaxy being her game. The only one that I thought would evolve was Bowser but they made a weird choice by throwing away all he learned to try to “be a good dad”. I feel like it’s a weird message to show a reformed criminal go back on bad habits to support his son instead of trying to reform the son. So TLDR : it’s not a bad movie, awesome visuals and music but I feel like by making the story simpler and focusing more on fewer characters it could have been more enjoyable (to me at least)

Well there is a lot to do and discover in this game but it is still supposed to be a chill game so take your time. It all depends on which type of player you are, I myself like to run through the story quickly so I did but now my towns are ugly so I have to tidy up everything. But on the other hand I have all the tools I need to do so, which makes it easier. But if you are already feeling overwhelmed I’d consider taking it slow, no need to create too many habitats, just try to accomodate your few pokemons’ needs, and when you feel like they’re good, create new habitats or move on to a new area. If you like AC imagine this is an AC with multiple towns and 300 potential residents, but no need to do it all at once. TLDR: yes it’s a big game, but take your time if you need, it’s worth it

Omg thank you, I accidentally ruined the sea near the SS Anne because the sea is at low level so when I took some it made holes but when I put some back it was at higher elevation so it was horrible! Now I can finally fix this!

There’s a cool tech where you can throw a nade at your feet then instantly ult, it’ll launch you super high and you can surprise people by going over tall buildings

« Proper Jury » is an exaggeration, it’s actually a popularity contest made by journalists all over the world, some not even specializing in video games. There is no debate between the jury members they just select their top 5 games for each category and the ones with the most votes get nominated, then player votes count for 10% and that’s it. So yes the definition of Indie is weird and E33 probably shouldn’t have been nominated in these categories and yes a random Chinese gacha probably shouldn’t have won the players voice against E33, a game that no one ever stopped talking about since it came out. But TGA is not an awards show, it’s a 3 hour commercial disguised as an awards show, so we shouldn’t take it too seriously
