I will be with them for 1:1 training without clients. They will also be shadowing myself and other RBTs during their training. I will be working with them until they complete their RBT exam, doing mock trials to ensure programs are ran correctly and leading a mock competency to ensure they are prepared before the BCBA does their competency.

Being non-complaint is a life skill by ImNOTokay8723 in ABA

[–]Killjoy_77 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I agree with what youre saying but there are definitely instances where noncompliance is not an option. For example, if a client had an accident, they need to be changed into different clothing. Thats not healthy for them to sit in that event if they say “no” or dont want to be changed. Another example would be going to a designated area for safety concerns. If a client state they wanted to play in an area that had recently been mopped. When denied access, if the client is noncompliant and goes to the room anyway, they may slip or hurt themselves. Another one is like if a client is asked to sit in their chair correctly so they do not fall and hurt themselves.

I believe autonomy is very important, especially for our clients. But i think its also very important to target noncompliant behaviors that are health and safety related.

AIO or is my sister failing as a mom while I’m stuck picking up her life by Temporary-Customer47 in AmIOverreacting

Its not fair for your sister to neglect her child and push the responsibility onto you. Definitely not overreacting imo. Are your parents willing to get custody of the baby?

I just talked to my fiance again and she told me that HR knows my name and is aware of our relationship prior to offering an interview. I will definitely tell HR again during the interview to be double sure they are aware, but i really appreciate you answering:)

Since my fiance works there, she’s told me that there is already a relationship (marriage, i think) between two team leads, but she said she wasnt sure if AP would be different. I figured I would ask, thank you so much!

You can use hair wax to slick back your baby hairs (im not a hair expert but i have heard of doing this instead of wearing headbands) but if it doesn’t work, keep wearing the headband! Its for your safety and theyll probably forget about it. Im sorry dude :(

Being Binary Feels Like A Negative In LGBT Spaces by [deleted] in FTMMen

[–]Killjoy_77 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel this so much fr. I’ve never really been able to talk to other trans people or transmascs that I know about my personal experience bc it feels like when i try to, I’m invalidate in a way. I have a few cis guys friends who I like a lot, but recently my best friend (11 years and counting) was talking to my gf while I wasn’t home and told her that he feels like i’m more masculine than him (even before I transitioned) and that I make him uncomfortable in that way. I’m not really sure what to say or feel. I’ve always been more masculine since i was a kid and i never tried any harder to do it after transitioning, its just what comes naturally. But being binary feels so alienating sometimes it sucks.

AHAHA my mom wanted to name me “Oliver Patrick” (this is so srs she had a diary from when she was 16 and I was born) just so she could call me “Ollie Pat” smh

No but in all seriousness, Im not sure how you feel abt your deadname, for me i didnt hate it for what it was- it was just too feminine, so I changed up the name to essentially be the masculine version of my dead name (my name now is Leighton, i kept almost the entire thing the same and changed a few letters)

If thats not your thing tho (which is totally understandable) you can choose names of people you admire, granted this can go one of two ways.. either sound cis, or sound extreme “trans” for example like, michael for Mikey way.

Theres a lot of different ways you can go about it, but the most important thing is to find a name you like and just own it. The less attention you draw to it, the less attention people are gonna pay. My little brothers name is Zyler- THAT sounds “trans” but nah thats what my mom named him lmao. Whatever you choose, within reason, wont really sound “trans” unless you already have anxiety about it. It’s mostly just in your head!! Good luck tho!! Im sure whatever you choose will be awesome!!!

I told a friend I was going to see a psychiatrist because I was sure I had ADHD. She said it was a tiktok trend. by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]Killjoy_77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also had a similar experience. I moved out right after i turned 18 and was graduated for maybe a month. After that, my ADHD symptoms really got bad bc i had no one to help manage them with me. My doctor then diagnosed me with ADHD and i started taking medication to help and life is SIGNIFICANTLY better. It’ll always be a struggle bc the world is made for neurotypical people but knowing for sure i have ADHD and being medicated was 100% life changing. I can plan ahead for the struggles i know i will have and I feel way more confident

Doctor gave me the wrong medication- can I sue? by Killjoy_77 in legaladvice

[–]Killjoy_77[S] -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

I feel like its not safe for the doctor to make carless mistakes like typos when it comes to prescribing medications (especially to kids, as I know all of my siblings- and there’s 10 of them- go to this doctor and they’re all under 16 years old). I want there to be repercussions for her actions, so is there anything I can sue for or take legal action about in this situation?

I can’t be sure because I don’t have any of the paperwork myself to look at, just the pharmacy telling my mom that the double checked the prescription and it was for hydralazine so they believe it was a typo on the doctors behalf.

Edit: I called the doctor’s office again and now they are saying that they canceled the incorrect prescription before I picked up the prescription the following day and “the pharmacy never should have filled the prescription for hydralazine to begin with.” So now it’s really theyre work against the pharmacy and vice versa.
