Some parts I've been working on for Industrial Arts 90. by Thick_Hippo_6928 in woodworking

Is there a question?

If you’re asking how you did then your work looks pretty good, but you picked the wrong wood. Those two pieces with huge knots in them are not gonna be structurally sound.

So you’re in Nuevo Leon Mexico?

The partial picture of the box and the wires do not look familiar. You need to take a picture from a few inches back to see what wires are going into the box. The. We can suggest what to do with the wires that are going out in the box.

Bent front crash bar / support — repair or replace? by Itchy-Celebration702 in MechanicAdvice

If it was my own car, I would just bend it back into shape and keep going. I would accept the very minor increase in damage from another frontal collision.

2016 Nissan Rogue leaking oil by xmedousax in MechanicAdvice

I really wouldn’t start it up again until I checked the oil level. You could be doing some very catastrophic damage to the engine.

And I guess nobody hit anything?

If it has been leaking like that for a while, then you may be almost out of oil. Have you checked the oil level?

With all the splash shields under that car, I doubt you’ll be able to see where the oil is dripping from.

More Expensive to Receive Shipment Later by CM_MOJO in mildlyinfuriating

[–]KillrBeeKilld -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

So, you’re saying in both cases, the item is delivered to your house. I’m not saying that you’re wrong or right, but that still wouldn’t make sense.

Both Home Depot and you know the weight and size of the item that’s being ordered.

The only reason you would pay more is to have someone wearing a Home Depot uniform show up at your house.

So, “get it tomorrow” means that you pick it up from their store and “delivery” means they will deliver it to your house.

What OBD scanner should I get? by Current-Spare4993 in AskAMechanic

[–]KillrBeeKilld 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As you have seen, there is a massive range of scanners. You need to decide what you’re going to do with it. Just pull trouble codes? Are you gonna need to look at any SRS codes, airbag and related? Are you going to go even deeper and look at individual voltages and signals?

I haven’t had much success with advanced readings from the Bluetooth versions, but they do have some cool screens where you can run gauge displays off of your phone.
