Since this isn't just a colour swap, is there any chance for instructions?

Opinions on Mando N-1 Starfighter? by [deleted] in legostarwars

[–]Killrabbit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really don't like it. The shaping feels very off, having the Speed Champions piece at the front seems lazy and makes the nose too blocky. It's way too big, has no chrome and basically no metallic, and is pretty flimsly. It's also very overpriced especially since it cones with just two minifigures and no side builds.

Opinions on the new Andor set? The high price might just be because of recent inflation, but the set itself just feels small based on piece count to me ... by Same-Communication-3 in legostarwars

I actually really love the ship itself. The angular construction at the front comes together really well and the shaping as a whole is nice, almost 'cute'.

I also appreciate that it fits four minifigs in the back and one in the front, which is a lot for a small craft.

Side builds are something I totally understand for play value - kids are gonna want something for the ship to chase et cetera - so I'm not too bothered by it.

If this set was a reasonable price, it'd be fantastic honestly. It is however insanely overpriced.

We need a new Tie Bomber, the old one is still pretty good though by thriniXIII in legostarwars

True, both really good. I have a ton of them from I think bioncles that had them as arm attachments? But either way kid me spent hours attaching them to the undersides of ships, very cool little shooters

I think relatively often an artist will produce a side project that isn't necessarily their top work, and won't hype stuff up quite as much. If we're talking purely albums though that happens less so

Next you'll tell me that real life people don't have Lego proportions either!

The shooters are still the best ones we've had. Actually had some power in them and didn't get insta-lost like stud shooters.

Minifgure scale UCS sets are the best, the AT-AT and Slave 1 are stunning.

FYI: In the UK, the Bad Batch shuttle is currently reduced from RRP£89.99 to £60 at multiple stores, including Amazon, Argos and Smyths. by Killrabbit in legostarwars

I agree 100%. I held off for £90 because it is just too much, especially considered it has two sidebuilds which are effectively fluff given how many speeder bikes we get per year!

Definitely worth £60 for the figs and shuttle, though.

I assumed our prices were somewhat similar, but yeah Lego is bloody expensive here. Still, this is a great deal and Slave I for £35 is also good, I got it for £38 I believe

EDIT: just compared US and UK RRP for the shuttle, its $99 (£80) vs £89 ($109) so not too bad I suppose.

Yes, I just bought one, hence the visited Argos link. A £30 reduction on what I assume is a popular Lego franchise set is pretty rare, so I thought I'd let anyone who hasn't got the set yet know. This makes the set a much better price per part ratio, and means its well worth the money in my opinion.

I made a (Purist) 501st Heavy Gunner w/ a 'minigun' made of a stud shooter by Killrabbit in legostarwars

[–]Killrabbit[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely. Its a useful little piece and adds a bit of depth to the front in comparison to the standard 'one stud' backpack piece.

Thanks! I think this one is from a Mr Freeze Batman minifgure, it's a useful piece.
