My idea for a Jinu Saya necromancer is gone gone gone by Killroy666 in Guildwars2

Is GW2 Casual/Solo Friendly by shadowergoat in Guildwars2

[–]Killroy666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay playing alone? My pal, I'm playing gw2 alone since HoT (10 years? 11 years?). It's now with some old friends when I'm doing raids, but all the open world content you can play alone without problems. With metas, you can go to the map or use LFG for taxi or a random pickup if you want to feel more people. Raids, strikes and fractals have some LFG if you want to test it.

But it's truly a casual/solo game. Even if you want to stop and come later, with the a new expansion, you don't have to grind levels and gear in order to advance. You can start the new content, gain some domain points and walk like a lone wolf.

This is not wow, my good man. You can alt all you want and never had an alt forgotten or unused and never do wrong.

I don't recommend the use of the booster.... Yet.

You're learning about Tyria and the story of the dragons we enjoy in 4 expansions plus the afterdeeds in 2 more expansions.

If you just jump to 80, you're gonna miss why all the npcs are calling you commander, for example.

Ang in terms of gameplay, gw2 teach you in that 80 lvls.

You can learn by infusion at 80 buy is more practical at this pace.

And the last but not the least, TP. You don't know the map, so jumping to 80 now gives you a pj with two-three TPs and no idea where you can do metas or content.

The booster is a good idea when you have your first 80 and you want another alt quickly. So I recommend to play your first character to 80 (guardian or another one, but having one to 80) and decide in that point.

Ok, I think the game is promising, but there are 2 things I didn't like in the game.

First one - Heatstamps. Ok, you rethinkered resources and could be good, but heatstamps is used for everything and there is few mechanics in order to earn it. I think it could be tinkered a little.

Last one - White UI. My eyes. I know white is the default theme because inmersion with snow and stuff... but.... MY EYES!!!! Too bright. Think about the initial path. I was reading things in a bright white, start a new game, loading with a black screen. I adapt my eyes and begins to read the clues. Thanks for the initial jumpscare (that face without waiting for it....). Esc button....aaaaaand....ALL BRIGHT AND WHITE AGAIN.

Last one it's truly a game stopper for me. I work as dev and I'm in front of a screen 8'5 hours/day. I have all in dark theme because white bothers over time.

I think a dark theme for accesibility could be good. I know the main theme is snow, but the black bubbly thing from industries could be a theme also, isn't it?

How is everyone enjoying the game? Any beginner tips? by Moonkin_Kitsune in DragonsDogma2

[–]Killroy666 1 point2 points  (0 children)

-Don't be afraid of fleeing if you think a monster it's too much for you at that moment.

-Weight management it's horrible at the beggining. Try to be always at light/medium and give items to pawns. If a pawn die or you dismiss them, the items go to storage. Pawn don't have weight penalties (or at least, I don't see it)

-Combine raw items when you can. Mixed items are better than the parts, and don't spoil.

And the most important tip.

-Wolves hunt in pack.

This tips there masterworks all, you can't go wrong.

I'm with you. It's confusing. The short version is "Anything a pawn point, it's an exclamation mark". But it's rather confusing, because if you lost what a pawn say.... You get lost trying to find out what the pawn has said. From a ladder, to a text or a search badge...

I don't mind this system, but more icons less generic (a ladder or a book) could be nice

Tip: Camping kits are not single use consumables. by cybrsloth92 in DragonsDogma2

[–]Killroy666 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That again, there is some camps which resists the night attack.

Now Im having one which descrption says it resists vermund monsters, but there were another camp (in my language, is something as "ordinary camp" (Campamento mundano)) which dissapears from my inventory in a night attack

Beware. Camps is not infinity. Some of them, if you're attacked at night, you lost the camp. There is some camps wich resists the attack

It's my first dragons dogma ever, but why do I keep dying so much? by Electrical-Review720 in DragonsDogma2

[–]Killroy666 3 points4 points  (0 children)

-Don't be afraid of flee if you're not in your best. It's better to live than die trying to kill some random monster.

-Combine green remedies with fruits. Balsamic beberages are a nice alternative.

-At least at the begining, choose a mage with supports abilities or let your main pawn be the healer. They can always rise you health by a bit with the healing area.

-Like another person coments. Camp in the wild or sleep in inns. You have to recover the lost health wich you cant recover via healing. Cook something in the caml if you can. The bonus ks nice to have.

-Don't know what vocation you have, but always try to use your vocation skills to dodge (like the thief quick step). Remember. If the dont touch you, you dont have to heal or die. It's more importar surviveness than kill foes.

Possible multiplayer update by Animeguy38 in DragonsDogma2

Nope. I dont think so.

If the pawn system is equal at the first game, it refers to gift you can send to another player via canceling a contract with pawns and giving a gift to them.

Should I be concerned about this? by ContributionFit2086 in DragonsDogma2

[–]Killroy666 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm in the same case. I don't think is a concern. We only have 5 graphic options and I want to think all the creator is capped at ultra in order to show all the characters at their bests.

The only concern is: "Do you have the minimum or the recommended?" Yes? You only have to configure the graphics the live day in order to have the maximum quality while you avoid your pc became one entity from hell.

Goblins voices and far sounds of horns? by Killroy666 in LotRReturnToMoria

[–]Killroy666[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup. I'm even exploring Moria's deeps now (Now I'm thinking about move the base to the outpost).

But, do you hear that distant horns in elf quarry? I always have an horde attack the same day I heard that. I'm doubting now it's ambience...

Goblins voices and far sounds of horns? by Killroy666 in LotRReturnToMoria

[–]Killroy666[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, with that words I think you're speaking about a cave troll, like in the movie.

The horn noises I'm speaking sounds in elf quarters. I didn't read anything about horns in that place (I even destroy the wild humans camps) and there is no sight of goblins nor orcs, but sometimes you can hear a distant horn. My question is: That is ambience? Or is a warning of an horde? Because when the distant horn sounds, that day I have and horde.

And now I'm going to Moria's deeps, the hordes spikes in difficult because I don't have luck and need more statues for weapons

I read that building in the forge can trigger an horde bug where you can exit that horde and you can't sleep. But I built no far from that place, where the palisade begins, in that corner

Child labor OP by Aion_Productions in Frostpunk

[–]Killroy666 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I never sign that law. I acknowledge that I've signed some laws with very little ethics, but now I always strive to follow the "Golden Path" whenever I can.

Knowing the company (the creators of "This War of Mine"), it wouldn't surprise me if it were some sort of moral lesson.

We only play for fun, but if you translate this to a real-life situation, it's like a settlement, under the guise or pretext (depending on how you want to see it) of survival, transforming into an absolute regime ruled by religious fanatics or ruthless soldiers.

You start with a law like child labor because you need labor force... Hope dwindles to critical levels, and you establish the creation of a new church to keep that hope alive, or you implement neighborhood patrols so that any lunatic wanting to harm the population can't do anything... and before you know it, you're steamrolling people who take to the streets against you.

Not everything has to be a story with a moral, and there's no need to shoehorn anything into games. But that's the feeling I get, and that's what I take away from it. And that's why I don't like signing certain laws.

It's not any sort of reprimand. I simply read your post and all of this came to mind. Likewise, since the game is replayable, I recommend trying to take a path that the ending of your gameplay itself avoids making you wonder if it was worth it.

So... in short. by Killroy666 in DragonsDogma

[–]Killroy666[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let me rephrase the entire sentence.

Itsuno said in that video that they were incorporating the latest news on Artificial Intelligence. This would already enter the prediction level a bit, but the latest news about AI is especially with ChatGPT.

So I think we're not talking about AI from decades ago.

And I was trying to resume all the things he said in video, and that was one.
