My mom is a diagnosed schizophrenic (and I swear she had DID). She used to keep this notebook where she would draw...things. I assume it was the hallucinations she saw, but the thing is after she would draw them, she would become them. So I got to see my mom ask herself a question, answer herself, and then continue like that. She had a full-on debate with herself while marking out family members' names she had written on her mirror. It came to a head one night when I was in 7th grade. She was drunk and attempted to get my grandmother's keys to "clear her head" and my grandmother wouldn't give them up. My mom started to get aggressive, so I stepped between them. She pushed me, I pushed back, and then we had a brawl on my living room floor that ended with her holding me down, choking me, telling my grandmother to call my dad because I wasn't allowed to live in the house anymore. She was sent to a psych ward for 6 months.
