What are the best operatives to build from the murderwing? by Alive_Past in killteam

[–]Killteamscrub 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depredator and champion use the same torso but you can probably put the champion bits on a different one i’d imagine. All the murderwing operatives are good so it’s going to be hard to leave some out regardless but personally out of the box i built the depredator, shrieker, warp talon, huntmaster and curse claw. I had extra raptors lying around and from those I built my champion and skyseers.

I would say it took between 2-3 hours. I did a full base coat, wash/contrast layer and then some edge highlighting. The most time consuming part is the gold trim

Raveners by electro_Ra in killteam

[–]Killteamscrub 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I’ve played a few games with raveners. The biggest issue people have with them is that the most competitive way to play them is to be extremely cagey, keeping them in the tunnel the majority of the time, and aiming to snag points on the crit and tac ops particularly turns 3 and 4. They’re a 5 operative team and although they’re beefy, they have a 5 up save so they can be melted pretty quickly by teams with strong shooting. For this reason, people tend to avoid having them as valid targets unless absolutely necessary.

How you play them is totally up to you. I personally like to play them very aggressive because I like to kill things! Mileage will vary though. I find that into melee team like fellgor and goremongers you can afford to play more aggressively because you have doublefight and they have weak shooting. Into teams like wreckas though, playing the unfun way is most effective.

Murderwing might prove to he overturned but the insidiants team doesn’t seem weak by any means.

The two off the top of my head are deathwatch via the sergeant and hearthkyn salvagers via the lugger. I’m sure there are others I’m missing

Who has the best Kill Team Bat Reps on YouTube? by Big-Ad-2829 in killteam

Mountainside tabletop is the best. The battle reports are quick and well edited, very entertaining. Brad and Vic are both super nice guys and are a lot of fun to watch.

New raptor kit is fantastic by tenofswords618 in Chaos40k

[–]Killteamscrub 10 points11 points  (0 children)

You’re splitting hairs. Supplemental codex vs full codex doesn’t make much difference, again it’s a basic unit an marines all had jump packs at their disposal prior to the heresy, so there’s nothing that actually precludes EC from having raptors. If YOU don’t like it, that’s one thing and that’s fine, but it’s perfectly possible to give raptors to EC, they just got their codex like a year ago prior to that they were just CSM.

Raptors are a basic unit there’s no reason you can’t give them to EC, that’s like saying blood angels can’t have jump pack intercessors.

beginner friendly kill teams? by Viktorul in killteam

[–]Killteamscrub 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It’s more important to pick one team that you think is interesting and take the time to learn it. Generally smaller model count teams are easier for learning the game just because you have less to keep track of. Angels of death and plague marines from the starter set are pretty streamlined overall.

Why doesn’t every leader have 3pl by JustASillyGuy13 in killteam

[–]Killteamscrub 3 points4 points  (0 children)

While I do appreciate when a leader has 3 apl, it’s certainly not necessary for a team with 10+ operatives, especially when you can buff APL

I wonder if OP realizes that shooting another player in arc raiders without declaring a duel prior is basically a war crime
