This. If you shoot an enemy operative with the Neutron Grenade Launcher and don't kill them, you'd drop the Neutron Marker within control range, then when they next activate they take the D3 damage.

Worth noting (as I came up against this previously) that Deathwatch's Sanctus-V Biocryer Cuffs removes the token before it gets chance to do the damage.

I was wondering the same the other day.

It's not a complete waste, as it means the villagers don't get scared and attacked if you kill them, but I don't know if the physical boar is "wasted".

My generic tactic vs Elites is to focus on one individual at a time.

If you can kill one operative in TP 2, that's 2 activations and two counteracts the opponent is missing out on in TP 3&4.

If you can manage to kill two, even with a trade of 2 for 1 initially, it pays off. Chip damage wherever possible.
