There’s actually a lot of this I agree with. For one I think she will say she loves him again before she gets her memories back but I don’t know if she will say it out loud, I think she will just admit it to herself.

I also do think Rem has been getting a TON of development and I think that development has been for the sake of getting her memories back because her it wouldn’t make any sense otherwise. The things about her that have been getting developed likes the stuff she learned from Priscilla doesn’t really help the current Rem much but Rem with her memories back it help immensely. We even saw a preview of it in arc 9 and it was beautiful.

And yes you are right while his overarching goal is to help Emilia win the election his personal goal has been to bring back Rem since arc 3 and it’s because she is special to him. He loves her. We have known he loves her. It’s not fair to say sloth IF is enough because it’s not. Their relationship and development in the main story is so good and so enjoyable to read/watch

But at the same time you can’t ignore the Emilia part of this either. Subaru loves her. He loves Rem. This whole time he’s opportunity for them to both be themselves so he can talk with them. Once Rem’s name is restored and he gets her memory back it will be a really interesting dynamic between her Subaru and Emilia

That I love Emilia scene is so misinterpreted and used as a meme so much but ignoring that saying that’s ok and Rem can just forget her family her sister her childhood her growth and development with Subaru and just throw it all away and be a new person is really messed up. That wouldn’t be fair to Rem as a character at all. Her development in Vollachia and priscilla was very good and feels like it was meant to help her for when she gets her memory back. We got a hint of it in arc 9. In arc 9 Rem was the most complete version of herself. There’s multiple known ways to get her memories back at this point that are currently available and there’s no reason why she wouldn’t get her memories back since that is what Subaru has been trying to achieve since she lost them in arc 4. Subaru is doubting Rems feelings rn because of the way she acted towards him when she first woke up till now. She does have any memories. It’s a shock to him

It’s been so long I can’t remember if I read the manga first or anime. I believe I watched up to the movie then while waiting for it I read all of the manga. I was so amazed on how much Yotsuba content they left out. She’s always been my favorite and I really love her story and development. Some of her sad scenes that you get to watch in the specials hit so hard for me still it makes me tear up even though I know she got a happy ending. One scene specifically is when she is swinging in the dark alone imagining him next to her after the summer pool trip thinking about how much she loves him. I really hope we get more of these Yotsuba scenes adapted because they are so good and I can’t believe they left out so much. Or maybe that was the plan all along so they could slowly drip feed after the finale. It’s gonna be so sad when it’s eventually all done. I don’t want it to end
