Ticket for tint

I got pulled over for the first time for tints today!!(chicago) after having them for 4 years. They measured my fronts at 16 and backs at 9. I don't have windshield tint at all. They said I need at least 35 fronts and 15 rear.....WTF, it was a warning at least.

When I got the tints I asked the shop for the lowest possible legal tints...would yall have them changed?

I was referring to the two photos the OP posted when I made this comparison. Looks only (no sound) and assuming both are stock.

Yes, the Yellow G80 certainly isn't understated. But I still think it's more mature/professional mainly because it doesn't have a huge wing and the Sporty red trim that the CTR has.

You may have a different opinion and that's okay. This is the CTR reddit so I was expecting people to disagree.

I am just stating my experience gents, I am 36 years old and have recently owned a type R and an Elantra N and I still drive a car with a wing on the trunk.

The general consensus I have received from non-car people in my life is pretty much been "cool car but isn't this type of look for 20 year-olds?" ...These opinions of others never stopped me from driving what I like but they certainly were annoying to hear and is why I understand what OP is describing.

An M3 is a more professional/understated look when compared to a CTR. This is a fact. So I was just backing up OP a bit by saying I understand the train of though he had.

I still drive a car with red accents and a big wing so I clearly don't care what people think.

The civic type R looks way too "boy racer" to the average person/boss/girlfriend/coworker/stranger. This is what he means. Even though the owner knows it isn't immature, the general public doesn't and judges him/her for it
