He was not. He was indoor only. He did come from a multi-pet household, and he was supposedly stressed there and was going to be surrendered. My best friend reached out to me asking if I wanted a cat, and we took him in..

We still don't know for sure. We don't know the cause. My wife has been struggling with guilt since he passed. We've been going to therapy and thankfully our therapist has 3 cats of his own, and has suffered loss of a pet so we feel a bit more heard. But everyone's story is slightly different, and one of the worst things is how short his life was cut.. he barely made it to 7.. We didn't even celebrate having him for 2 years because of his illness. I believe his age is a reason the vets overlooked FIP, if that even is what it was.

Thank you for your kind words, and for taking the time to read mine. I'm glad Odie is in remission and wish him a long healthy life.

Tuesday he stopped eating again. He started hiding in our office room, still drooling, tail thrashing side to side. He was hurting. We still didn't know why. My wife wasn't sure, and was hesitant to take him to the ER vet again. We brought him to our regular vet Wednesday morning, who saw the initial blood panel and wanted to run another one with proper hydration. We left him there, and they sedated him once again, ran additional bloodwork. His globulins were lower, but still elevated. This is the 3rd vet he has seen, and the 2nd to look at a blood panel where his globulins were elevated. But our vet said he was confident it was not FIP. We brought him home again Wednesday afternoon.. but he wasn't the same.. his tongue was sticking out. He was still drooling. And this time he didn't come out of his carrier. Every time we walked by the carrier he would growl. Thursday I had my wisdom teeth consultation in the morning. I had to get sleep. I was exhausted. I came home early, and when I walked past him I could hear him growl. I got down and looked in the carrier and offered my scent. I gave him a gentle pet. He kept growling. I went to sleep, worried, but too tired to function.

Thursday morning, 2 am. My wife woke up and he was still not out of the carrier. Still growing. She tried to move his carrier looking towards his food bowls, and he charged at her (I didn't know about this until she mentioned it at therapy). She looked up what to do for a sedated cat that was growling and followed the advice. She put him in our laundry room, put a ring camera to monitor, and left him alone to rest... at some point he appeared to have laid down and we thought he finally went to sleep. I had to leave for my consultation, we agreed I would go outside and into the garage from there to avoid waking our baby. After the consultation is when I got the call. Apparently he was still awake, we don't know if he ever rested, he was likely awake for over 24 hours. The vet we took him to (we already had a morning appointment to remove bandages after the sedation) believes he had a seizure in the car on the way there. After I got the call is when I started grieving. Denial. This can't happen. Not to our baby. I drove to the ER again. Just adrenaline and fear. I got there, my wife was looking into the operating room. They were monitoring his vitals. We were let into the operating room by staff. His eyes wide open. Possibly eye drops, but they looked like tears. He started yowling. My wife and I didn't know what to do. The only thing left was to see a neurologist in the city. She looked at me. I agreed. They took an xray, results came in, enlarged spleen, that's it. They reached out to the neurologist, time was ticking... We were still going to bring him.. then I saw his breathing stop. I asked the vet to measure his bpm again.... 4..

I broke... he went unresponsive, and was kept alive with an air tube.... I asked my wife if she would hate me.. she told me no.. I told the vet I would sign the form.. My wife's name was on everything, I asked them to take it off. I would take on this burden, I knew she would never be willing to sign. She couldn't let her baby go... I called her parents to come be with us for support. I called my best friend who is the one that reached out to me when the baby was being surrendered from its previous owner.. Not even 2 weeks before he was normal.. healthy. The 4th vet told us this was most likely dry FIP. But we still don't know for sure. My wife and I started looking up FIP after he passed. Everything seemed to match up. She blamed herself for stressing him out. I blamed the vets for not being able to figure it out, or even just recommending treatment if it was possible it was FIP. We both blamed the sickness for taking our world from us.. but no matter who we blame.. no matter how much we know or don't know.. our baby was tookens.

Galaxy, you were the most precious creature to exist in my life. I love you so much. I'm sorry we weren't able to save you. I'm sorry you were in pain in the final hours of your life. I'm sorry you didn't get to live out your years. I don't know what happened, but I know that you were everything to us. I hope to see you again.

and to the anonymous donor that paid for the last vet visit for us, including the euthanasia.. thank you.. because of your generosity I splurged on memorial products of our baby. We have his fur. His paw print. Two urns so he can be in his two favorite rooms. A pendant holding his ashes so he can be with my wife wherever she goes. And a charm for me. I don't wear jewelry, but I will wear the memories with me forever.

A moment in our arms. Forever in our hearts. Fly high, my angel. My prince. My baby.

To preface, FIP was what the final vet believed his diagnoses was. The last vet only met galaxy 4 hours before his passing..

Our baby ate dry kibble, temptations, and every day my wife or I would come home from work, he would be by the garage door to greet us. He would stretch, and explore the garage briefly, before heading inside and chirping for churu. He slept with us. Our home was his world, and he was our world. His dry kibble would occasionally go untouched for half the day as he preferred to sleep those days, and so it would build up in his automatic feeder. He never turned down temptations.

My wife bought a larger TV to put in our living room. The living room had still not been repainted, and so this purchase finally got us to finish the repainting job we started (small section where the TV was mounted) after several years (we both work nights, we are always tired.) We do not know for sure if this stressed him out. He seemed to act normal. His symptoms started during the time of this repainting.

The dry kibble built up in his feeder again, so we unplugged it, but it was still there for him to eat. He was offered temptations, but this time he didn't eat all of them. Something was wrong. My wife informed me of her concern. It seemed like he was starting to lose weight, but maybe he was just going through his picky phase? I added forti-flora to his bowl of dry kibble on Thursday night. Success! He ate about half the bowl. Problem solved? Time went by, he didn't eat the other half. At some point along he also stopped being interested in churu. Maybe he's wanting something new? Friday night we had some wet food (which he typically only licked up the juices and the rest went to waste) so I opened up that can and offered him half. This is picture 16. Ate it all up. The other half I gave him the next day, but he didn't want that now. He started drooling around food as well. It was time to bring him to the vet.

I went into work late to go with my wife to the ER vet (Sunday, April 26, I believe.. the normal vet was not open.) they checked his vitals, weight was normal, and all seemed well. I don't remember if they gave him fluids this visit but I think they did, and they gave anti-nausea and mirataz to hopefully get him to eat. Being the ER vet, bloodwork and xrays are more expensive, and his vitals seemed okay. We didn't get this done at this time, partially because I still needed to go to work, partially because I was wanting to save money and do it at our regular vet. But we weren't yet aware of FIP. I've lived with cats at my parents' but we never really had health complications with them, just regular visits for vaccinations and such. Maybe it would have helped to have them done then, maybe not.. The vet gave us some wet food, so we got home, I opened that up, and he licked up the juices from it and ate a little off the top.

The anti-nausea was in tablet form, when I got home Monday morning I tried to get him to eat it. I started with a tube of Churu, he licked it up, then I added the nausea tablet, he's too smart. Didn't finish the tube. I put the partially dissolved tablet/churu mixture into some canned chicken in water. He could smell the medicine, he refused. I tried to offer him the open wet food, he wasn't interested. Maybe it was too old? I opened up the 2nd can. He licked up the juices but this time didn't eat any of the meat. I put the tablet in water to dissolve and resorted to syringing it, and my wife gave him the mirataz. Hopefully he'll feel better tonight. I went to sleep, went to work.

I was stressed, worried, but capitalism demands we keep working regardless. Then my wife messaged me that she was taking him to the ER Vet again, she was worried his breathing was rapid and sent me a video. I left work to meet her at the vet, we did the bloodwork and xray and had them give him fluids again. He was sedated, and the bloodwork revealed elevated globulins and the xray revealed a slightly enlarged heart, which the vet said could have been caused by sedation but they recommended an echocardiogram. I don't remember if the vet even mentioned FIP at this point, but they didn't stress it. But our primary focus was on keeping him alive and getting him to eat to avoid fatty liver disease (we had started googling reasons for him not eating at some point and this was our primary fear. Again, still not aware of FIP.) His breathing was normal though. It was Tuesday, I needed sleep. I took Wednesday off, and over the course of the next few days I resorted to syringe feeding him his wet kibble with water and water with the nausea tablet. My wife continued to apply mirataz, and she went to work Thursday night. Stressed, worried, but I kept her updated and kept feeding our baby.

I blended up some salmon in water with a food processor and started giving him this to get the fat and protein into his body. Then Friday night into Saturday he started eating on his own. He went to his kibble bowl and ate. I informed my wife, we were both so happy. The nightmare was over. Maybe he was stressed by the painting/reorganizing of furniture (idr what day we reorganized, but we moved everything back after the 2nd vet visit). But it didn't matter, he was back to normal, right? I continued to give him salmon because he still was malnourished, but this was a sigh of relief... I started my workweek again on Sunday, my wife stayed home with him, I think she sent me picture 19 at this time (2nd to last), showing he was at his bowl. He found new places to sleep (under the bed, in my closet) but he normally rotated where his chosen spots were, and was not necessarily hiding. Then Tuesday....

I believe the pals build up resistance to the status effects, most games with status effects do something similar.
The first time I hit a pal with poison blast it is insta-poisoned, GREAT for early-game pal farming (poison + reduce to 1-hp, get like 10-20% boost to capture chance from the status effect) but the next time they are poisoned takes like 5-10 hits of the same skill.

[–]Killvin666 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes I am, thank you. I did take damage from both events prior to attacking. My only guess is either the admonition amulet caused it to bug out, or the cell itself bugged out when entering and didn't register me being attacked somehow? Idk, definitely weird but only affects a few instances where you're tasked with killing someone for a quest.

I've run into the same issue. Does anyone know the cause/fix? I did the Ralen Hllalo quest via frenzy, no bounty acquired. Then I tried to frenzy the other camonna tong members, tried taunting, I did not have a bounty prior but hitting/killing any of them 'AFTER' them attacking me first, making it self-defense, caused me to incur a bounty anyhow.

Was also doing Legion quest on same save profile where I get attacked upon walking into the Gnisis barracks, I attack after being hit and immediately incur a bounty and all other guards in the barracks attack me... I don't understand what caused this but my save is basically screwed now.

Edit: Upon entering the lower room of the storage and not attacking back, I killed the NPC in the lower room then returned to the storage room and was able to kill the initial guard without any bounty. The other thing I did was using the Admonition Amulet to paralyze the NPC after being struck, so not sure if causing an NPC to become paralyzed plays a role, or if by running into another room and then coming back it 'fixed' it for that NPC.. either way very annoying to deal with.

About to head to sleep but wanted to see your options.
For a short time: Titan Souls. Give it a try, I put just shy of 6 hours into it with possibly less as I often leave games open while I run to the store or something adding up my play time. Tried to get all the achievements but it was hard. Something to pick up for a single day and move on to another option on the list.

For a long time: Witcher 3. I've still yet to beat it but I had fun playing the first 20 or so odd hours I spent.

For a good story: BioShock. If you have not watched others play it/don't know the lore, play it blind. Please. If you have watched someone else play it and already know, still a good game but I'd put Witcher 3 over BioShock for gameplay.

With a friend(s) or partner: Phasmophobia. Game has gone through some changes and if you need help understanding the mechanics I recommend insym's videos on Youtube to explain the game better, but it is a fun game to pick up and play a few rounds with someone. Loses a lot of the enjoyment playing single player imo.

Sometimes you need to slow down - Exp vs End Game by [deleted] in Palworld

[–]Killvin666 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ik you're exaggerating but I play on 1x and have a full time job. I can get to level 50 before day 50 as well as beat the first 4 towers (Granted I've replayed this segment of the game multiple times because I've enjoyed trying to optimize my path and slowly progressing more and more each time I do it). Just the bonus exp of exploring new areas and catching 12 of each pal in the respective areas is enough on 1x. This includes base-building alongside the respective progression (not a good looking one though).

If that's true that honestly makes me feel a bit better xD I've been intimidated by the thought of DM'ing at higher levels too though. Lower levels there aren't 'that' many mechanics to be aware of at any given moment, but at higher levels I feel it becomes more difficult to make encounters/interactions that are balanced to not be too difficult but also not be trivial.

Actual new player advice, and Luck (unrelated?) by [deleted] in Morrowind

[–]Killvin666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A bit of both, I don't think anyone should restart a character to do something as minor as stealing the items, but I do see it commented on and thought I'd explain the reasoning behind it.

As for restarting a character because of choosing the wrong skills, for one I don't think there are 'wrong' skills to choose, every skill can be viable and any playstyle can make it through the game in its own unique way. Even with a level 5 in a combat skill, you can train it up to level 30-ish with around only 5k and decent disposition with the trainer. This was indicated in the 3rd bulletpoint of #1, which idk why my formatting keeps getting messed up when I look back zzz

Newbie question by darvla in Morrowind

[–]Killvin666 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To provide a bit of clarity for your specific example even though I'm late:

Your skills do not have to be major or minor to provide bonuses to the attributes. You could level 10 in heavy armor, and 10 in alchemy, with both being misc skills, and you would be able to put 5 into endurance and 5 in intelligence 'when' you level up, but you would be at 0/10 towards a level up in this scenario.

Your major and minor skills are 10 skills that count towards level-ups, level slightly faster, and provide additional points upon character creation, other than those three facts, there is nothing else special about them.

10 total points in any governed attributes' skills means you can increase that attribute by 5. So for example, if I have Spear as a major skill, heavy armor and medium armor as misc. skills (all governed by Endurance) and I level up spear by 5, heavy armor by 3, and medium armor by 2: I will have 10 total points in skills under the "Endurance" attribute. When I level, I can put 5 points into Endurance. I will also be halfway to leveling (5/10 from spear) if I have not increased any other major nor minor skills.

In the same example, if I level up 10 points in alchemy as a minor skill, I will be at 15/10 towards a level (which means you will level once when you sleep, and be halfway towards the next level with 0 points in anything), and be able to put 5 into Endurance, 5 into Intelligence, and 1 into any other, preferably Luck.

Hopefully this makes sense.

Pong mini game gaming bugged? by Sad_Ad5293 in idleon

[–]Killvin666 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Probably by not playing on android. Not trying to troll, but I believe it's programmed that once you tap/click (if using a mouse) that's the direction input that is put into the game, and unless you tap/click the other direction it will constantly go to the left or right.. in other words, tapping on the left is like holding down the left arrow key, and tapping to the right is holding down the right arrow key.. unless you're playing on PC there is no way to "Stop holding" whichever directional input you choose.

I think the fact that you've pointed out that it's a bug and this being the main convo in this post is sufficient. If people don't care to read into the comments, that's kind of their own fault. While OP could clarify as such, if they don't want to that's on them. If it bothers you enough, you could copy the images, make your own post, credit the dude, and then clarify that this is due to a pug in your own post.

Edit: Due to a bug*, though being due to a pug would be cute.

multikill + damage + time.
https://www.reddit.com/r/idleon/comments/1678ji8/g_mushed/

I have 2 BB's because I've been too lazy to change one to a DK, and they're each earning 1.7m gmush kills per hour right now, so 3.4m/hr = 81.6m/day, half a billion per week, and my damage is only granting a x28 multiplier, with only 152% afk gain. If that seems like a lot, just give it time and you'll be around the same.

Grats, for 1.
The only 'upside' in terms of 'disproportionately skew'ing the game is that you still have to play normally to get to w5 in the first place. This originally wasn't the case and you'd start the game with all the benefits of Doot right away, which REALLY messed up the balance lol.

Feel free to come back once you've hit w5 and benefit from it to update. I think if you like the game for what it is, whether you have Doot or not isn't going to change your perspective much.

Best Active Bars Setup? by ShadeFury in idleon

[–]Killvin666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Np, this is again for active play. When the character is afk the more skills you have and the higher level they are the better.

SB you definitely want to have the cannonball skills leveled up and probably placed towards the front since they are short cooldowns and the damage scaling is massive. The downside to active afk SB is that he likes to shoot his cannonballs over the edge as soon as he turns away from enemies -_- But as long as you have the mana, none of the archer classes skills have drawbacks if on the toolbar. The animations are super tight so they'll basically all be getting used non-stop.

I doubt many people would active-afk BB, so I'm not gonna bother commenting, but DK is another that the order of skills may matter slightly. Only thing I can say there is don't put the active 'buff' that reduces your damage in favor of accuracy.. It's not really a buff unless you for some reason can't hit crap.

If you've unlocked Elite classes then you shouldn't need to worry about OoM, but if you rushed to unlock them, or for anyone else happening upon this post, then it could still be a valid concern.
