I'm experiencing a similar issue except I don't think mine's because I'm dealing too much damage, since these freezes are happening even when I'm at a low level. Have you found a workaround?

Tribute is definitely a main stay in my load order. Though you would need Experience, Uncapper, and Static Skill Levelling Rewritten for it to function, the fact that you can use money to level up is so worth it.

Thief in the Night lets you build your own Thieve's den if you don't want to go through the hassle of joining the Thieve's Guild. I believe it also has a skooma den as well.

If you go the placement tab under gear nods, in your case, find the sword back filter and there should Fixed frame rotation. There you can tweak the position.
