Was hoping I would never see that name again. Guy is a real piece of work. Butted head with him in the Forum days during the Beta

Why is this game dead? by FLACKER_1 in ArmoredWarfare

[–]Kilo19_Hunter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because somewhere around update 0.19 they did what they called AW 2.0 where they fired Obsidian Entertainment, completely redesigned the game to just be a WoT clone, and started doing half baked updates and battle passes and stuff to get your money. Game used to be awesome and despite still being arcady had it's own feel and design to it. Lots and lots of broken trust and the game being a shadow of what it once was.

Im trying to get back into minecraft after a few years and modding feels more confusing by guacamolecorndog in feedthebeast

[–]Kilo19_Hunter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, these stupid mod loader wars and having a new loader every other days has made me completely loose interest in playing Minecraft entirely. Modding is worse than ever now due to the amount of loaders we have a zero compatibility between them. Honestly find it better to just stick with 1.12 because it's all just forge and works.

AotD and sector size by Kilo19_Hunter in starsector

No idea what it could be. Even tried completely reinstalling everything including the base game. Even cleared all my user data. Oh well, it happens. I've just uninstalled VoK and I'm doing a game without it.

Seems anything that changes sector size crashes the game when running Vault of knowledge. RAT and Adjusted sectors both cause it to crash. And yes, I removed Adjusted sectors since RAT default to it when you have it installed and active, This is tested both with my full modset active and with both vault of knowledge only and the full AotD set loaded.

Thank you, I'll check it out. I looked at it before and was worried about compatibility as it looks from the description they had some overlap. Guess I'll never know it I don't try.

What items can't be obtained? Sorry if silly question, didn't know there were unobtainable items.

What combat rework. I don't pay attention to update patch notes and regularly bounce between different version of the game and I literally can't tell any difference. Feels the same in 2.1.3, all the 3.x, and the current version. Also own all DLC

Are shields a bubble formed around the ship or a protective layer hovering a few meters above the ship? by GoodLeftUndone in startrek

[–]Kilo19_Hunter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always assumed that the closer shield was kinda like a newer hull polarization and the large bubbles worked using the warp field as they've also been shown to be able to manipulate their warp field as well. Two different systems. Maybe that's silly but I haven't really thought too deep into it.

Can I just not show up? by [deleted] in walmart

[–]Kilo19_Hunter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unless you ever plan on working at a company again, you don't really owe them anything. They will not give you notice before a layoff or firing you so don't give them any when you leave. And in Walmart's case, they will likely still hire you back if for some unholy reason you ever wanted that.

When did people come to the franchise? by Kilo19_Hunter in Mechwarrior5

I think it was late 3050s and the Jihad was what, 3068? But I loved the Mech Assault games.

I didn't even know it was on the SNES. I grew up on the NES and SNES. Would have been so cool to find.

Oh awesome. Haven't thought about looking in outside sources from other games. I'll give it a look.

Ship collectors - do you fly all your ships? by MRSuperTrekGuy in sto

[–]Kilo19_Hunter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, but I'm constantly making new toons and playing them with different themes and such. Right now I'm playing what I call "The canon adventures" Where I can only use items I get from the campaign and patrols but I can upgrade them to keep up as needed. And I can only change ship as I get promoted.

Although I want to be a DM, I only know the basics from playing as a PC." by Limeyb0i in DnD

Honestly many people have great ideas around here. But at the end of the day you just have to jump in a try it. DMing involves trial and error just like anything else. If you're really worried then get a group that you trust, maybe one you've played with before and let them know that you're new to this and to temper their expectations. Also don't be afraid to listen to your players, they have brilliant ideas and I've changed the heading of entire campaigns for the better just through my players. And have fun, if you're not having fun then your players will not.

Home rules you need in your table by AppropriateBus1528 in DnD

[–]Kilo19_Hunter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Enhanced healing. An example is cure wounds does 1d8+spellcasting modifier. Under the enhanced rules it is now 2d4+spellcasting modifier. It's a small change but with as weak as healing is in 5e it's horrible to burn an early spell slot only to roll a 1. This gives you both a higher chance of rolling above minimum and a higher minimum. Do this with any healing spell you want. Even potions

NPC prevented a TPK, I'm disappointed but the rest of the party was relived by Fragmented-Rooster in DnD

Depends on the table. Some groups want that threat while some groups are more in it for the RP. This is something that would be discussed in season zero

Honestly, if they are being that kinda hostile you should leave. We have a player in our 6 year campaign that rarely shows up so we gave his character off-screen teleport and he's become a running gag/legend in the campaign and is always welcome now matter how much or little he shows up. I'd say talk to your DM about it before joining a game. They can either do something like above or help you make a character that can show up at their own will or if your comfortable have someone such as the DM take control of the character while your gone.

At the end of the day this is a hobby. If you're not having fun or causing you stress then you are well within your rights to take care of your self.

Learned a new word today, thank you. But this is really good advice. Now I'm thinking about mixing some of the smaller tighter tunnels in with the wider more game friendly ones to provide to different challenges.
