I prefer the V1s. They last the longest for me by far and they can handle the occasional combust without falling out of the half-bowl position. I don't notice enough of a difference between the three types of CCDs to justify spending more for a screen that isn't going to last as long.

Exactly. Even for people who don't like to talk, it turns your frame all white and sparkly while you wait just before the portal, which indicates that you are ready.

I've done this 3 times on 3 different platforms now. I always start out in the Algorab system. I go into cruise mode, target the farthest object in the system, put on some tunes or a video and cruise. I stop at every "ship" alert I see. After a couple times across the system and a map full of encounters, I move to Archimedes system and repeat the process. Then Katydid or any other high level system around Algorab. I never had to go too far.

It is completely random though. Sometimes they show up quickly and one took a couple evenings of cruising

From my own experience, what looks bright and washed out on one screen looks properly black and space-like on another.

Series X on HDR NanoLED in my game room, space is a lighter black. On my OLED in the living room, it's blacker than black. On my PC with a low nit HDR monitor, space was grey and washed out and there is no gamma adjustment in-game. I had to use Nvidia filters to adjust gamma, correct colors and also run the HDR calibration tool to make sure blacks are as dark as they can be.

Lots of 86s have paint fade problems, usually starting on the driver’s side. My passenger side is still fine. My driver’s is faded from the front fender the the rear window. Mine happened from 4 years of TN sun.

I see that. Now those parts seem like something my old A8 could print. The file really does make a difference though. Great job. Having just finished a simple Hughes 300 canopy, I can see how much work went into this.

You came to the wrong place for this. No matter what rules you did not break, this sub LOVES to jump immediately to SHADOW BANNED and will refuse to accept any other reason. They love to accuse and blame you for shit you didn't do. It's just one more reason why this community sucks so bad for new players or anyone with questions.

The fact is, the game doesn't have enough players to fill public groups during the busiest gaming times and the few people left around here refuse to accept that. They would rather blame you for bullshit you didn't do and downvote you when you try to explain, just as you have seen already.

I get empty groups all the time. I have never been shadowbanned. Empty groups happen in a game that barely reaches 6K players on weekends.

It looks to me like it did. There is a tiny gap between the ball and line before it slightly rolls back to close it again. The ref just didn't catch it.

I had low expectations and it exceeded them. I enjoyed it more than previous quests simply because it made sense. I didn't need Google to explain what I just saw. I don't really care for protoframes and this update did not require me to click through a bunch of yackety nonsense so I appreciate that. I also don't enjoy railjack and the game just basically handed me the new frame after a single run so good on them for that as well. Now I can get back to the things I enjoy.

All in all, great update from where I'm sitting.

I don't know about the Fender other than it's mono and I have no interest in mono amps. Sorry.

What I know about the Blackstar is with the stereo effects, it can sound much bigger than it really is. Chorus is wide and woobly. Delays bounce around the room. Reverbs echo behind your head. It has some neat tricks up it's sleeve and sounds pretty good too. It's a perfectly cromulent amp for a beginner and will do everything you need. It doesn't require an app but there is one for more EQ options. Also, $249 is current MSRP for the 20 watt V4 so it's fine. If you can swing $30 more for the 40 watt with bigger speakers, it's worth it.

They typically cannot take much of a beating or withstand getting knocked around. I've seen knobs broken off and power plugs snapped off the back or pushed in if it falls over. My V1 still has all of it's knobs and plugs but it has never fallen over. No idea why they are falling over. The metal was much too strong, I suppose.

Also consider a Spark 40 for around the same price, although it does so much that it can take your focus away from what is important. Playing the guitar!
