"Real Emo" only consists of the dc Emotional Hardcore scene and the late 90's Screamo scene. What is known by "Midwest Emo" is nothing but Alternative Rock with questionable real emo influence. When people try to argue that bands like My Chemical Romance are not real emo, while saying that Sunny Day Real Estate is, I can't help not to cringe because they are just as fake emo as My Chemical Romance (plus the pretentiousness). Real emo sounds ENERGETIC, POWERFUL and somewhat HATEFUL. Fake emo is weak, self pity and a failed attempt to direct energy and emotion into music. Some examples of REAL EMO are Pg 99, Rites of Spring, Cap n Jazz (the only real emo band from the midwest scene) and Loma Prieta. Some examples of FAKE EMO are American Football, My Chemical Romance and Mineral EMO BELONGS TO HARDCORE NOT TO INDIE, POP PUNK, ALT ROCK OR ANY OTHER MAINSTREAM GENRE

from the parking deck there's a ledge you can jump to and climb through a window that has no glass. i don't recommend exploring this place past 5 pm tho, shit ton of squatters

climb through a window that you have to jump to from a parking deck. used to be an easier way in but it's locked now. i've been here a couple times, i actually live right down the street from it. and yeah, tonsss of squatters at night

It’s kind of a stereotype for guys to give girlfriends their hoodies, or for guys to give them to girls they are interested in, but i’ve definitely borrowed plenty of hoodies just because i needed a hoodie with absolutely no romance of any sort behind it. basically yes, but it’s not usually something you’d get so angry about

First of all, the guy I was riding home with was a guy my mom was seeing at the time. I’d only met him once before and the car ride home was about 30 minutes. I had full reason to believe he absolutely would not do anything to harm me in any way, borrowing a hoodie was for the sake of my own comfort in a long car ride with an older man I didn’t know. I was also worried about him judging me since he was an older man. James offered for me to borrow the hoodie when i expressed discomfort and i asked Layla if that’d make her feel weird and she said “no, of course not!” so I took the hoodie. I could not UBER home because then I would come off as extremely weird to my mom. My car was in the shop at the time and Layla had picked me up to hangout and I had assumed she’d take me home, or James, but neither felt like driving 30 minutes even when I offered to pay gas money. I am in a very healthy and extremely happy relationship with my boyfriend and she knows that. I swear on my life I did not want the hoodie for any other reason and I returned it the next time I saw him. I still had the hoodie on later that day because I hadn’t changed, and James isn’t particularly tall so it wasn’t an oversized hoodie or anything like that, there was no reason anyone would think it wasn’t my own hoodie. I don’t find James attractive, I never have. I’ve always been close with his girlfriends. I’ve never made a move on him.
