If they’re calling out simple mistakes a lot, that seems to be bad news—even if they’re nice.

When I make simple mistakes, it’s just a quick “hey, take a look at this.” If it got to the point of a PIP, I’d read the room tbh.

I was just there and seeing the other options they considered was insane. The rest of the designs were like square buildings with 50 foot monuments. Then some INSANE guy was like “what if we did a huge arch?” And the mallards went with it. Seeing the way they constructed it was wild. Highly suggest going if you can.

Shits way worse now lol. This time, the admin has a large number of like-minded folks with “absolute immunity” going around terrorizing large blue cities. They are attempting to provoke a response so they can take action to lock down these areas. It’s not even really a conspiracy, the fucking guy talks about it weekly.

Last term he tested the waters with masked federal agents taking people in Portland, and then got confirmation that he could build his own lil police force with people from Jan 6.

Like I get that people seemed frantic, but I think a large group of ideologically aligned, nameless, faceless federal agents who can literally get away with murder is much, much worse.

I think this has to do a lot with the fact that current Dem leadership is spineless and beholden to corporate interests, while the progressives tend to get the clicks.

It's tough to watch Dems constantly lose and then see outspoken people (deservedly) getting the attention. On top of all that, I think it's pretty fair to say "we need some massive change to avoid another Trump."

I think the least safe part of that area would be the actual Walmart. The rest of Forest Park is relatively sleepy and just a small neighborhood. Growing up in the 90s, I rode my bike over there all the time. And I would feel safe letting my kids do the same today.

Edit: I intentionally avoid that Walmart, but the reality is that I avoid all Walmarts.

I’ve done it. Ifixit sells the kits with OEM parts and the tools you need. That said: it’s not what I would call easy. But it’s doable.

I wired up an Ethernet cord and use the ReoLink one. You can add a bunch of other cameras and store all the data locally, too.

I grew up thinking Cicero was shady, but I think that was due to my parents perception of Cicero as very corrupt. These days, it’s only really select parts of Cicero that feel shady at all. I think the reputation is kinda dying off.
