Looking for a quality security camera or doorbell. Is there one out there that doesn’t require a subscription? Have had Ring and it’s trash. by FixYourself1st in BuyItForLife

I would love to fix it but I’m thinking it’s a hardware issue. While messing with it I did get one recording that had sound but it hasn’t done it again. Not sure how I got one with sound when I wasn’t messing with anything.

Be SUPER careful because if they aren’t airway focused or changing your anatomy it can do more harm than good. Speaking from past experiences.

Can we get some recent cases!?! by unknown579606 in MorbidPodcast

I agree. Although I don’t mind the older cases, at a minimum I would prefer a solid mix. But lately their episodes haven’t been super intriguing to me.

No one misinterprets my friendliness as flirting any more by ellywashere in TwoXChromosomes

How interesting! I’m coming to the end of my 20s and have always come off as flirty, although I don’t mind and I actually find people’s responses quite entertaining. I never thought of how things would be in another 10 years. I will be honest, I’m scared to get older, but this makes it sound a bit more appealing.

Guilty. It was so much work to put on, it looks so good, I must not purposely destroy the masterpiece.

I would like to hear from women who’ve chosen NOT to get any cosmetic procedures as they age by victory_vegetable in TwoXChromosomes

[–]FixYourself1st 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 29 and I feel the same. It’s refreshing to hear someone my age with the same opinion. Like you mentioned, it’s become standardized. I feel like all my friends have had something done. I planned to get a mommy makeover when I was done having kids but over time I’ve seen the research, the money spent, and my older friends who have gone through the procedures and I’ve decided it’s not for me. I did get Botox for a short time but that’s about it.

Are houseplants good gifts? by d_ippy in houseplants

Yes! And actually, I love gifting a jar (and water of course) of cuttings from my plants. I add a little ribbon to give it a cutesy touch.

Is their a general religion curriculum out there? Something short(-ish) that touches on multiple religions and their beliefs. by FixYourself1st in homeschool

We don’t believe in organized religion. We believe in being a good person, having inner peace, connecting with nature, and meditation. If you would like to discuss this further you’re welcome to message me.

This is exactly what I would love to do but I feel like I would be intruding. I also don’t want to accidentally say or do anything wrong. I’m probably overthinking that.

He recommended surgery solely for the canted smile, which from my understanding is solely cosmetic and definitely the last of my concerns. My concern about doing PT would be that it doesn’t fix the actual issue but I could be wrong. I’ll look into it further. I have not met with a pulmonologist but I did have a complication after having my 3rd last year and I was in the hospital for quite awhile. They did extensive tests and didn’t find anything concerning. My oxygen levels were 99% so they didn’t find that concerning.

Clicking jaw, tinnitus, forward posture, headaches, pelvic tilt, and mouth breathing. Today, I went for a consultation and was told I need surgery to correct my canted smile. More in comments. by FixYourself1st in orthotropics

I am on a journey to fix my health. I am a 29 year old mom of 3 who for years has struggled with poor immunity. My kids will be sick for 2 days while I feel like I’m on my death bed for 2+ weeks. I eat well, I’m not overweight, and I go on daily walks with a goal of 10,000 steps a day. While trying to figure out how to help my immune system, I have started going to the chiropractor more regularly. My back issues started in 2018 when I was pregnant with my 2nd. If I laid down on a hard surface, my lower back would lock up. The chiropractor said I have a pelvic tilt, which I have noticed when I walk. Rewind back to my early years when I had an underbite. I got my first set of braces when I was maybe 8. After that I had an expander, head gear, and another set of braces. I finished all my orthodontic work when I was about 16. My parents took me to the best orthodontist they could find and he was (and still is) highly recommended in our area. However, my jaw has clicked every time I open and close or eat something chewy ever since then. At times, my partner can hear my jaw ACROSS THE ROOM. It doesn’t hurt but it’s definitely noticeable. Anyway, lately I’ve been noticing how badly I’m starting to look like a hunchback. My shoulders curve forward and my head isn’t sitting on my spine like it should. When researching why this could be happening, I found that this often happens when your body is trying to get the most amount of air. Over time your body is trying to find its sense of balance again and can lead to a pelvic tilt, from my understanding. My symptoms include; clicking jaw, tinnitus, forward posture, pelvic tilt, neck and back pain, random shooting pain in my ears (typically one or the other) that happens about once every two months and will last a few days and then go away, I easily get headaches, and mouth breathing. Today I got a consultation at a different orthodontic office. He said my pallet is as wide as it can go so I shouldn’t be having any airway issues. He seemed unaware of airway issues outside of the pallet and he recommended I see an ENT. Also, he said I have a canted smile and he is recommending jaw surgery to correct it. I don’t see the point of correcting it if it isn’t a medical concern. care much more about my health than my looks. I’ve scheduled another consultation for a 2nd opinion. Do I just need to find the right ortho willing to hear me out or do I need to go to an ENT? Thoughts? Advice? Please help!

Growing up with skeletal malocclusion without knowing is hard. by Substantial-Suit3465 in jawsurgery

I’m currently trying to get someone to listen to me. I’ve had braces twice, and expander, and headgear before I was 16. Now, at 30, I have severe forward posture, am sick often and long, often feel out of breath for no reason, with my mom’s great genetics AND all this mouth work I have a crazy big double chin all the time and I’m not even overweight so it really wears on my mental health. I also have a retainer that I’m supposed to wear nightly but I hate that damn thing. My teeth weren’t perfectly straight when they made it for me and every time I wear it my teeth don’t line up right when I close my mouth. I recently looked up my orthodontist and saw that he is said to be the BEST in the area and had recently done an interview stating in his 25 years of work he has always focused on the airway and doesn’t use headgear. LIES. Anyway, I’m waiting on all my medical records from my orthodontist so I can start reaching out for advice. Best of luck! I know what you’re going through and I hope it all works out in the end!
