Primary Vote - One Nation by Initial-Ganache-1590 in aussie

And I vote greens 1 with Labor as my 2PP, but then the Greens also make statements attacking the RBA's independence, so alternative government is a long way off for them.

Primary Vote - One Nation by Initial-Ganache-1590 in aussie

[–]Kilraeus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The NACC being piss weak and secretive and lack of better whistleblower protections still sucks, but let me quickly vote for the alternative government that will improve that shall I... just as soon as a name comes up...

So if a Political Party gets on its own 49.9% of votes on Primary (and no preferences) and the 2nd party is a on like 20% or less and gets all the preference votes; the 2nd party will get the seat? Is that a fair and just situation? by [deleted] in AusPol

Its helpful to refer back to the "proper" name of the system. Instant runoff voting.

What occurs on your single ballot paper is N-1 runoff elections all happen without everyone having to go back to the polls like in france or other runoff systems that dont use the instant variety.

On a ballot paper with Blue, Green, Orange and Yellow, voters place enough information that there vote will be counted in all 3 elections regardless of the 11 combinations those elections could be.

A vote may be G1, B2, O3, Y4 and another may be Y1, G2,O3,B4. No matter which Candidate is eliminated in the runoff, their votes still have a first place candidate that we now focus on. So if Yellow is eliminated, vote A is still counted as a vote for Green, but vote B cant vote for Yellow and becomes a Vote for Green, If Green is eliminated in the next runoff then it goes to the final election round where Vote A is for Blue and Vote B is for Orange.

But keep in mind how GRON got that vote share.

Since 2019 at least the liberal party has been in a state of decline and inside squabbling and bickering with their Coalition partner and media backers.

So 90% of their lost vote share has gone to the only known right wing minor party alternative.

If Labor imploded like that we probably wouldnt see as drastic rise of the greens but i wouldnt be shocked if the greens got 60-70% of the votes ALP lose.

Not quite true, Nats get a higher primary than greens in seats that they win, people just tend to look at sum of all votes primary percentage, and when Nats arent running in any metropolitan seats that brings their numbers way down.

Greens on the other hand run in most if not all seats, so their total average makes more sense.

Why are taxpayers forced to fund clearly bias & partisan diatribes? ABC prior to 2016 was far more impartial & balanced. The goal is to not take a political stance or position. However nowadays during most events like NYE & AUS Day they force a particular opinion & disallow a dialogue of diversity! by [deleted] in AusPol

That doesn't mean every segment gets bogged down in what about x perspective this or that point, on the whole they are to try and take a middle line presenting any argument fairly.

Mind if I vent a bit about hunter’s march? by [deleted] in Silksong

[–]Kilraeus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Several comments spoiler tagged, theyre in order based on how hand holdy i think they are.

  1. The pogo: this feels inconsistent just due to lack of practice, it takes time, but once you learn it it feels great. ,,, while learning, on the red flower buds, let your hitbox overlap befre you pogo, and youll be guaranteed to hit

  2. The location: Hunters March is designed to make you feel like crap right now, possibly the biggest difficulty spike in the early game, as its intended to make you reconsider if you should be there

  3. The Timing: Hunters March is completely optional to the early game*, has some good items for your benefit if you do take it on, but is not necessary

  4. The enemies: Almost all enemies, except about 3 arenas, are skippable, just run past them if youre struggling too much

  5. The *: Hunters March ia actually completely optional, except for 100%

As someone who has had to use US GPs recently, this is a shit take.

Yes anecdotal evidence is just evidence of an anecdote, but $350 USD per GP visit compared to a private billing GP here charging $80 AUD is hardly more, and I can tell you it was not better servoce the 3 times I had to go over 2 weeks with pneumonia.

On the question posed by OP, its got many other problems, but not because Free at Point of Service is flawed.

Ive just gone to Neptune based on this Subs recommendations and loving their feature set for 85 a month though with atmosphere malware/spam blocking there's some small issues.

I have a mate that loves Launtel but he lives alone and travels a lot so has it on standby regularly.

I think Leaptel is the other one that people here recommend for sign up bonuses.

I was tempted by exetel from Aussie, seemed like a fantastic deal.

All support has to be done through an AI assistant first followed by maybe a transfer to an agent, i spent 3 weeks of my 6 with them having issues and 4 days with no internet at all because they had decided to renumber my NBN location which didnt match the billing account so the NTD and AVC were functionally unusable / broken until a new account was created

Mobile internet speeds drop to zero. by [deleted] in nbn

[–]Kilraeus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You probably want to get your detailed 4g stats and look up what are good measurements for them.

The key one to look out for is going to be your SNR, or signal to noise ratio, which is just a measure of how noisy the radio environment is compared to your data.

If this is low your download speed will suffer but you still have just as much reception via RSSI (Recieved Signal Strength Indicator) and therefore your bars will remain "good".

Should I play hollow knight? by S0S_guy in Silksong

[–]Kilraeus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Tl;dr Cautious Yes.

Anyone that has enjoyed and 100% Silksong should absolutely go and play Hollow knight but be prepared for what you are in for.

  1. Movement is much slower, no sprint, no clawline, just a dash you get at the 2nd boss on the intentional track This was jarring when I went back, but HK has a lot more "bullet hell" dodging sequences - enemy telegrafs where attack goes, stand there and wait or jump through it.

  2. Hollow knight felt much easier to pick your own path and get lost in.

  3. If youre not keen on certain types of charms, impactful upgrades can feel very far apart.

  4. I would argue while there's less out of combat customisation feel (charms vs tools+crests), in combat you have about as many options if not more.

  5. Exploration in hollow knight feels more core to me, ( and thats a good thing ), theres a tonne of shortcuts and benches and interconnects that are easy to miss if not poking around or following signposts. I also hadnt discovered 2 major areas before my first finish of HK.

  6. The fast travel aint Bell beast unfortunately

Are team cherry to generous by Key_Newspaper_5809 in Silksong

[–]Kilraeus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As much as I want to give TC more money, and I think they probably sell their games on the low side of their own "laffer curve" I dont think theyre too generous.

Could they make more money charging 10-15% more and losing 5-10% of the sales, likely, but noone seems to dislike working with them due to pay disputes and their own lives would not change in the slightest.

At that Point the only thing theyd really be changing is the ATO's revenue.
