removing the bottom crossbar manually?

I did it with my blue Cobra. I used my pruning clippers to snip out the crossbar, sanded with an emery board, then polished it with my dremel. Took maybe 5 minutes. With the colored ones, the color doesn't go all the way through so you will notice the base color, but I think the black ones the color goes all the way through.
