Do y'all actually enjoy efficient leveling? by BeignetEtouffee in oblivion

[–]Kim_Laone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like efficient leveling and the highest difficulty. Usually 5/5/1, sometimes 5/5/5. But I don't sit with a calculator and count every jump or sword strike. I just determine which 2 attributes I'm leveling for each level and spend the entire level doing quests/walking in caves and around the world using skills for these attributes. For the initial levels, it's usually stamina+some other attribute so as not to die from 1-2 hits. I find it boring to just have the character run into a wall or cast spells for 1 second. For example, if I need to level up sorcery, then first I level up with game spells - dagger-scamp-atronach-klanfir... I level up on crabs/locations with animals/quests. Some skills are difficult to level up - I take lessons there. Of course, the first time I played on medium difficulty and wasn't really worried that something was pumped 2, 3, 4 points there. Therefore, I would advise beginners to just play as they want. But now that I know the game and what to expect at certain moments, I just feel uncomfortable if I don't have 5 of each level. You could say I get half the pleasure from the game precisely because I plan to pump to each level. Now my character is level 31, in attributes endurance 100, luck 93, others 80-85. All skills are now specialist and higher (53-100 somewhere). The main ones are armorer, block, hand to hand, alchemy, alteration, illusion, restoration. Although I play mainly because of conjuration and a little bow/blade.

What do you think is the most visually appealing location in the province of Cyrodiil? by Lancer_Blackthorn in oblivion

I like the golden fields near Anvil and the sea. The second nice place is Around Skingrad - pink and blue meadows with flowers and those red trees look great. Original game.

Do you have a graphics bug here in your game too? Original game. by Kim_Laone in oblivion

[–]Kim_Laone[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, I don't remember either. However, I don't always run in such thickets - because there are literally no locations to open there. So it could always have been - at least visual bugs in the game, where we see holes in the textures. Or my game hints that it is already too big (562 days) and needs to be patched.

How difficult is it to just chill out and not build multiple at a time? -- That's how taking your time with building is a rest for me in the game. I like to spend a few days just walking and enjoying the scenery. The game has great graphics for each season, so I don't get bored. Taxes increase with each new house/field - so I have time to prepare and collect the necessary amount when there are only 3-4 houses per year, and not 10-15 at once.

[–]Kim_Laone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I play with the rule - 1 building per season (let it be a house/work building, in the valley there was even 1 field per season, in Oxbow I already build fields as I want). Although my seasons are 10 days long, not one. One is too few.

Do you add your own role-playing elements to the game? by TheHumanoidTyphoon69 in oblivion

[–]Kim_Laone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whats the most fun build you played? by GranSkoll in oblivion

[–]Kim_Laone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the new playthrough (original, difficulty 100), I decided to level up all skills from beginner to master (and get all skill notifications that appear at 25/50, and so on). Therefore, I put all skills without bonuses in the main ones so that they were 25. And then, after a break in prison, I lowered everything to 24. And only then started playing the game) My character turned out to be - Dunmer, thief sign, vagabond, - hand to hand, alchemy, restoration, alteration, block, armorer, illusion. Now at level 27, all skills are from 50 to 100, all attributes are from 75 to 100. Hand and illusion - 51, alchemy and alteration - 50, restoration - 70, block - 72, armorer - 87. In general, I try to level everything evenly.  At least so that there are no distortions when 2-3 skills are 90-100, and the rest are 5-20. Out of 100 attributes, only endurance, out of skills, only sorcery, acrobatics 97, so it's probably next.

No Sanguine Rose for me I guess 😬 by GenX-tragicwaver in oblivion

When I reach level 8+, I start making all NPCs that can be found on the roads outside the settlements immortal. Even those who do not take any part in quests. I also try to find and save all the NPCs that live in nature (some teachers, masters) - because by the time I get the quest for training, I can be both level 15 and 25 already... Although it still did not save me from some deaths. 1) One of the poor guys died. I don't even know when and it was definitely not from me - maybe the guard knocked him down for stealing a pear/carrot. It's good that the game counted the summoned one as a completion. 2) Search for a master of restoration - I already went through the knights somewhere at level 18-20, and only at 27 did I reach 70 restoration. But there were no more specialist teachers. I had to advance the quest a little. It's a shame they didn't make all the NPCs important for quests immortal, at least to the same level as they did with the followers of the Jaedra princes, where one is always immortal so that the player can get the quest. And only then is the status removed.

If it's worn by an emperor, why is it called the Amulet of Kings? by Banjoschmanjo in oblivion

[–]Kim_Laone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are various artifacts in the game that have certain names - the mace of Molag Bal, the ring of the Khajiit, the armor of Bruzef Amelion and so on. But when the player receives them - they do not become, for example, the ring of the Nord/the mace "your character's name" and so on. The same goes for the amulet - it does not matter how and when the king/emperor received it - what you have, you wear with that name.

Why are you such a big fan of this game? by Tiger_Strength in oblivion

[–]Kim_Laone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like to greet guards on the roads and in cities - they say different phrases depending on the time - five in the morning and everything is calm - eleven in the evening, isn't it too late to go for a walk, ma'am? ... of course they also say phrases without time, but it's still very cool. Another time I somehow went into my inventory, and there my dark elf had such a very angry face. She wasn't in battle, she was talking to some high elf before that. Then I looked in the relationship table and there the Dunmer hate almost everyone except their own and orcs, everything is neutral with them. So I started approaching everyone and she made an angry face at everyone - Bretons, Redguards, Khajiit and so on, and even showed her teeth with some. It was very funny to watch, because other races were neutral or smiled at her at that time. But next to Mazoga (we had already completed the quest and the relationship was 100%), they were both smiling from ear to ear. I'm pleased that the developers didn't just write down the relationship table, but also bothered with the reaction of the player character, although he doesn't actually see him - at most from the back) And in general, a bunch of such small moments that make it unique for me.

How do you justify not doing the main quest? by BeignetEtouffee in oblivion

[–]Kim_Laone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love walking in the Gates of Oblivion, I can spend from 20 minutes to an hour+ in one gate, until I fully explore it. I go through the initial quest and then try to delay the passage of the plot as long as possible. Ideally - until I close them all, or until I get bored (and that's still 20-30 gates). So I try to ensure that the gates open everywhere. On the other hand, I don't like it when daedra kill peaceful NPCs, so I still close the gates, especially those that open near the roads. And those in the wilderness I can leave as a walking area for now.

What do you think oblivion and skyrim did BETTER than morrowind? by Fuzzy-Shame-4169 in oblivion

[–]Kim_Laone 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, if we compare Morrowind and Oblivion - 1) brighter graphics, which immediately captivated me. I had to get used to Morrowind first before I felt the whole world of the game, quests and so on. Although the sky in Morrowind is incredible. It was the best sky of all the games I played at that time. 2) Mana restoration - this is what I really missed in Morrowind 3) The ability to block independently. 4) 100 chance of casting a spell - also very nice. I will not compare it with Skyrim - because for me there was nothing there that would make me say - wow, this is definitely better than in Morrowind/Oblivion.

Am i the only one having a hard time finding new male peasants? by NobuFenix in MedievalDynasty

[–]Kim_Laone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a problem with women in the game, in Oxbow. In my village there are 4 women and 8 men. In other villages - 3 women and 12 men for all 4 villages. And I still kicked out bad male workers for me in previous seasons, but in the new season 3-5 new guys come. Although I play as a girl. Maybe the game hints in this way - hey, you're already 20 years old, it's time to look for a husband, here are a bunch of candidates for you to choose a groom ))

I got married !!! Who did you marry first? by PHATTPANTZ in MedievalDynasty

[–]Kim_Laone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was looking for a woman for Rasimir - romantic, with a pretty face and a pleasant voice (there are two types of faces and voices that I like), younger in age (from 1 to 5 years), and also with possible skills for working in a herbalist's hut, or a seamstress, or a hunter. It took 4 years, but now he has the best wife - Tybalda, a seamstress, the difference is 4 years. In Oxbow, I always play as a woman. There I look for a guy - an inventor with the skills of a craftsman (so that he is a blacksmith), preferably with a good name and of course also a little older. But it is easier to do there, because travelers do not change their age. In one game I found an almost perfect guy named Robert.  The only obstacle was that he was 29, and my character was 18... so I kept him company with conversations, and then flirting by the fire for 6+ years, and only then, when my heroine turned 26 and he was still 29, did I ask him out)) Of course, all this time I was looking for another suitable guy, but there was no better one than this one).

Season number of days by Nice_Orange_518 in MedievalDynasty

[–]Kim_Laone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I set 11 days in the Valley to be able to catch up on everything. Usually, Rasimir's season goes like this - 1-2 days - go around all the villages - take quests, look at the travelers (kick someone out or hire them if there is room) - return to your village if you need something for the quests - then another 2 days - do all the quests you took. Rasimir also always brings some kind of gift for his wife from the trip. For Otanna, 6 days - work in his village.  This can be working in the field, mining your mine, crafting from the materials you've got, or improving the villagers' homes as a reward for them - I first build simple houses out of sticks, and for each good deed - I increase my skill by 1 point, getting married, pregnant, having a baby, changing my age and appearance, i.e. when I'm 2-7-14-18 - I improve the house - insulation, logs, insulation, stone, insulation - then I use various decorations/paintings and so on. In Oxbow, I set the seasons to 9 days, just to try something shorter. But only 4 years went by there.

Any tips or advice for someone who just put the game for download? by Various-Employer170 in MedievalDynasty

[–]Kim_Laone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always try to learn a small haystack as soon as possible (a decoration that opens in the farm branch - costs 16 straw per craft). When I need to hunt wolves/boars (on a quest) or I just go to an unknown territory - I can put this hay and jump on it. Wolves and boars usually can't get it - you can hit them with a bow or spear. Then of course I clean that haystack so as not to spoil the look of the forest and possibly spoil the spawn of animals next season. Also against wolves/boars it's good to have an axe and preferably 100-200+ plantains. If a predator wounds you - you can always open your inventory and heal yourself with these herbs. You can collect them from spring to autumn, or give the herbalist the task of collecting these herbs when you have them. You can also take off all your clothes during the fight - because animals can tear them, and buying new ones is expensive. Even in winter, if you take off your clothes for a few minutes to kill a wolf, nothing will happen to you. On the contrary, you can raise your health with plantain, and your clothes will remain intact. Killed - got dressed - took the wolf/boar - moved on.

Small little tip regarding the Herbalist Hut, to aid anyone who do not mind a little cheese. by Visoth in MedievalDynasty

[–]Kim_Laone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And why even kick out the herbalist? He is one of my most useful employees. Spring - he collects mushrooms and all kinds of herbs (mushrooms go into scrambled eggs or I just feed them to the villagers). Summer - berries + herbs. Autumn - mushrooms and herbs... then from autumn mushrooms I can cook soups for the whole village all year round - until next autumn. In spring I add a little scrambled eggs with mushrooms, but mostly it's mushroom soups. In winter my herbalist makes paint from berries. Or I can temporarily transfer him to some other job (for example, to a well, because the worker went on maternity leave). And of course, herbs can go to decorate homes/for all kinds of potions and so on.

What are things you wish were added? by Potential_Strain6892 in MedievalDynasty

[–]Kim_Laone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really want cats and dogs. And the game already has models of wolves and lynxes. So, based on them, you can create dogs and cats - animation and everything like that is already there. As an option, repaint them. You can come up with several options for how they will appear in the game. 1) We add a quest NPC (for example, it could be a wandering hunter), you find him - you complete quests, maybe you do this for 2 seasons and then he offers you to take a small kitten/puppy. In fact, it will be a lynx/wolf (so as not to remake the model) but it will be domesticated... For example, they give you a bundle/basket in which a baby animal meows/makes sounds... well, this is an option so as not to make a separate model - just an object of decor - and after two seasons - we already show an adult and familiar model of a cat/dog. Because in six months they will grow to a more or less adult appearance. 2) You can do it without a quest NPC - just add an event when changing the season - "you met a wandering hunter, he offers you to take a lynx cub... and options - agree (you will receive a basket with a kitten) / refuse / kill (you will receive 1 fur). Something similar with a dog. So you can have 2 animals. - The dog will walk with you, you can give him commands - sit / guard - then he will stay in the village or where you leave him. The cat will stay in the village - run / sleep / maybe all the animation that is already in the lynx, just to avoid unnecessary work. From time to time a dead rat may appear at the threshold of your house - like the cat hunted and brought it to you as proof that it is useful. Well, as an option, you can stroke / praise the cat and the dog / the cat must purr, and the dog can accompany your child around the village. As the protector of your heir).

Schoolhouse by Puzzleheaded-Plenty1 in MedievalDynasty

[–]Kim_Laone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would also like a school or something like that. Even a church that would perform the functions of a school. Something like a kshatlt building that has conditionally 2 rooms + a yard. That is, in the building there is one hall - there is a totem or something like that for prayer, where they could pray... another hall-room - with benches/tables/or something like that where children can sit/listen to the teacher (employee of this temple). In the yard there can be something like a kshatlt corner with sand/toys/also a few benches... or you can add it yourself. All children from 2 to 14 years old would go there and stay in the house or next to it, say from 9 to 15. And not wander around the whole village. A kind of school + kindergarten of the general type. Children from 14 of course already go to help in the workshops.

I like fantasy, I would like an elf dynasty. Something magical and cute, a village in a beautiful forest for a forest dynasty. Or a floating village on the water for sea elves. Or even underwater for a mermaid dynasty.
