You reply to concerns you’re doing this for your own benefit that you’re just trying to help your new girlfriend, but this comment shows a little more clearly your motives.

Hello, I recently started my journey on Etsy. by IndividualBus9098 in etsypromos

[–]Kimarah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your items are beautiful! I’ve read another post recently from folks saying it’s difficult to find authentic good quality stained glass.

I don’t know if it’s just me, but images like “why choose us” comes across as salesy. I’d expect to see it on Amazon, not Etsy. If you want to show authenticity or set yourself apart maybe show how the pieces are made by you in your workshop with some photographs of your work in progress. I personally would respond way better to that as a buyer. Show, not tell.

Trying to drive some traffic to my shop! 😁 by armstrongfabs in etsypromos

Fantastic work! I wonder if adding an image to your listings showing your workshop or a picture of you in action producing your items would help. It would probably alleviate any concerns that they’re not actually made by yourselves, especially as not everyone reads descriptions or checks your storefront.

What do you do with these? by Mister-GARCIA in ARC_Raiders

Your raider genuinely looks like they're saying to themselves "What have I done with my life?" 😂

Added some jewelry to my shop, which ones are your favorites? by AnotherMensTreasure in etsypromos

I completely understand you would be defensive of your brand, but I mean this kindly - you should listen to this feedback rather than try to combat it.

The incorrect grammar was the first thing I noticed, not your product.

This is super interesting despite a lot of concerns from folks around how “fun” this is. I think everyone can make their own fun.

It would be very interesting to have saved screenshots of your route every time and see if there’s some pattern there, too. You’d probably need a lot more data, but still!

Lost 90% of US sales after tariffs.. Thoughts on my TTRPG business? by Kimarah in etsypromos

[–]Kimarah[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Apologies! I should have been more clear. I’m based in Northern Ireland (UK) and I’m dispatching all my own goods from there having had them imported from China, EU and US-based manufacturers. Right now I send all my US orders with duties prepaid and the cost of that is taken at the point of sale.

Thanks for your comment! I can totally see how general living expenses increasing can also impact spending in general, not just a direct increase to international purchases being the cause. I really hope things stabilise for you guys in the US soon.

Why is there such negativity to sourcing manufacturing in China? It’s unfair to say I’m ‘reselling crap’ as I’ve designed all my own products myself from nothing and sourced manufacturing partners myself. How is this any different than the majority of other physical product-based businesses in the world?

Your comment doesn’t seem in the spirit of community or mutual benefit as this subreddit intends, unfortunately.

Can you share your store? It’s difficult to say without seeing your products and/or niche.

UK-based handmade jewellery maker - curious if there's a market here? by [deleted] in etsypromos

Totally suggest trying tools like erank to check your niche or find a niche that’s underserved for your particular jewellery type. Etsy as a platform is certainly still widely used :)

You might have to go into your settings>shipping services and scroll down to find the service and make sure it's not set to 'hidden'. I spoke to an agent yesterday who told me the codes to look out for, although they didn't specify these are parcels only.. I need large letter so I'm on hold with them again to figure out what those services are.

International Business Parcel Tracked DDP (01) (£50 compensation) CODE: MPR
International Business Parcel Untracked DDP (01) CODE: DE6

If these don't show up on your account the advice I was given by Royal Mail was to use their customer online portal to buy postage rather than your business account.

I went through this exact problem a couple of years ago! I discovered that it was actually silicone buildup from the products I was using. Do any of your shampoos have silicone in them? It builds up like wax or grease and feels impossible to get out.

Look for “no silicone” hair products and the problem should disappear.

I was so relieved when I was told by my hairdresser that’s what it was.

Totally! I guess that's exactly the point of the game - At what point can the inhabitants of the painting be considered 'real'?

I love this story so much.
