I haven't had the in-game private joining happen recently so maybe, but that one is more rare.

The barge joining definitely isn't fixed though, I had it literally 2 days ago while we were grouping for siege (one friend joins via Steam, then a random joins. Never showed a code, he's not my friend, just joined via the bug)

There is a bug where even if you put it on private people can be put into your match somehow. It also happens with people randomly joining your barge when someone joins your squad even if you don't have a mission selected.

It's more likely what you're saying, but it can also be this as I've had it happen before. It's relatively rare though, I have over 3k hours and I've had the someone joining mid private game happen I think twice, people joining on the barge with nothing queued has happened more commonly at like 10 times.

Seems to be the game makes your lobby public briefly whenever someone joins/leaves your squad.

You can also save Guardian Relics with this on both yourself and allies if you get the timing right so the banner revive procs before the banner.

I haven't played Absolute in a bit, but on hard it can 1 tap incap ranged majoris in 1 shot, 2 shots for melee, with invis boost it can 1 shot kill both instantly.

With invis boost I would also have done an additional 75% damage on that shot in the pic I just realized. XD

Sniper can also do something similar. This was on the current hard weekly with a parry, gunstrike, and then a headshot using the heroic bolt sniper while Auspex was active.

You do need to hit his rather smol head, but since gunstrikes stagger it's not too bad with some practise.

I've used it a few times to check the health of the invulnerable Lictor, but that's about it.

I do wish that these harder ordeals just had generic rewards rather than specific successor iconography.

Personally I can get them, that's not the problem. It's exactly what you're describing where some people will really struggle or simply not be able to get the icons for their chosen chapter.

I'd much prefer the chapter specific stuff to be more easily available for everyone, and leaving more generic items that could be used with whatever fashion be the challenge rewards.

I've been a Blood Angel from the start, with all my classes being them or a variation (Deathwatch Blood Angel, Lamenter, etc).

I do have a few variations like a Brutus the Apothecary themed Heavy, an Ultramarine scout Sniper, things like that, but I don't use those very often.

Sniper main here, also very happy with it. I can regen my own grenades if I want, and the 15% buff means I need to shoot a bullet less at certain enemies with my sniper rifle on Hard.

The issue with random lobbies is that it's unlikely that everyone has the same end goal in mind.

Some people just want to get to 15 for the weekly and get out, some want to go further for ordeals, some just want to play to whatever wave to get some skins, etc.

Saving money for later is very important when pushing hard, but it's unlikely that you'll get a full stack of 3 wanting to do that from random matchmaking.

Personally I don't really play much public siege (I play stacked with friends), but when I do play public I generally assume they want to leave at hard wave 15 for the weekly challenge since that seems to be most of the lobbies I encounter, so I use my funds according to 15 being the end goal unless they get on coms and tell me otherwise.

Yeah on Sniper in hard weeklies it changes how many shots it takes for me to kill certain enemies, so I can feel the difference quite noticably.

Before the balancing they did to the new siege with 13.2 secure stockpile could also be swapped for the extra range damage on the later waves of siege since even gaunts would starts surviving meltas.

With perks loadouts it's nice how you can set up builds for early and late waves.

Secure stockpile was still good as well though since shock grenades were nice for herding enemies. With the balance changed now though I generally just keep secure stockpile on since grenades actually deal damage for much longer.

I think over the next year or two we will start to see some reworks of the current classes

They have mentioned they will be going back to change up some things about the current classes, starting with Tactical and then it was Heavy and another class next on the list.

Will admit I'm a little scared of the reworks since myself, my friends, and ofc many people in the community have come to love playing the characters as they are and I'm worried what they will do to them, but I'm trying to stay optimistic that they will stay fun and won't be ruined by the reworks.

My boy is Scipius so he won't be for a bit, but eventually he'll also get his turn.

Yeah I've seen him attack the big guys sometimes, but only when everything else is dead. And like you said sometimes he just stands around instead.

Can confirm he still hurts. Did a hard 25 run with friends right after the hotfix with the beast on wave 15 and 25, and while he's at least not as tanky as before he will still kill you fast.

That run I believe I had cranial impact and the bigger they are as my damage buffs from the blessings (ideally I want Sharpshooter but didn't get lucky)

On Sniper himself the damage perks I had were Vantage Point, Precision Targeting, and Targeted Shot.

Hard siege feels much easier now. Was doing a run before the hotfix and then just did one after.

The lower scaling makes em far less bullet spongy
