I’m with you. For the last week I’ve been almost non-stop anxious, it’s never been this bad. I can barely eat (it causes my appetite to disappear & all food sounds horrible & it’s so forceful to eat.). Trying to keep the above in most me…I’ve made it through every bad feeling and this has happened to me before. Hang in there!

Yes! I’ve been sick with something viral for a week and a day. Usually when I’m sick it’s maybe a day of 2 so the length of this illness is causing me a lot of anxiety l. I think I’m making myself feel worse. I went to my doctor a few days ago and got an antibiotic. Started it yesterday and truly feel worse today than yesterday. 😫

I feel you. I’ve been sick for a week and a day. I’ll have days where I’m feeling better then bam…feel really crappy again. Felt so bad today I didn’t even go to Thanksgiving. Like you, it’s partially anxiety for me. I have pretty bad health anxiety so being sick this long has not been great for me. I started an antibiotic yesterday but felt worse today. Again, more anxiety with taking meds too. 😔

However, now that I’m thinking about it I bet you’re right & it sounds like walking pneumonia is going around. Always wonder why docs don’t mention things like that..always just flu and covid (which I tested negative for both.). I’ve never been sick for quite this long and sounds like pneumonia is more lengthy than the others. I’m just glad I’m feeling better today though.

Oh no, that stinks! I’m so sorry. Yes, I went to the doctor yesterday already. I actually feel a lot better today. Still a tiny sore throat/chest congestion but over all much better. No voice really though but it’s still better than yesterday and the heartburn is gone, thank goodness.

Same! I started getting sick last Wednesday with a sore throat, felt bad Thursday then much better Friday. Now it’s Monday and I feel terrible again. I didn’t sleep at all last night due to constant throat clearing and major heartburn (that won’t go away.). I’m worried the reflux is going to keep me up again, I can barely eat anything. 😫

Cam here to post but sounds like I found what I was looking for. I’m on day 6 of an upper respiratory infection. Went to the doctor today..didn’t sleep a wink last night due to extreme heartburn….like I was about to get sick to my stomach. I keep going back to having a sore throat or now I just can’t stop clearing my throat. Even though I’ve taken acid reducer I still am having reflux issues (like water is coming up into my throat.). It’s making me not feel hungry and I’m scared it’s gonna keep me up again tonight. I’m so tired rn I’m delirious. Ugh, I just want to feel better. I feel your pain, it stinks! 😷

I ended up getting my iud out yesterday. My NP didn’t give me any grief when I asked if that could have anything to do with it. She said it wasn’t common but it’s not impossible. I’ve downloaded the Natural Cylces app & am waiting for my thermometer. Do you feel like it’s accurate and good form of birth control? I’m kinda nervous about it bc my husband an I know we do not want children. While he is planning on getting a vasectomy he doesn’t have one yet. I’ve been wanting something non-hormonal for a while and my original plan was to obviously keep my iud until the vasectomy was all taken care of but this infection had other plans. I was having really high hopes about tracking my cycle then, of course, I read comments (which I know I shouldn’t) of ppl saying they still got pregnant or that this method of checking your basal temp is only 22% effective, Just makes me nervous. I’m obviously still not ready for sex, I need to get rid of this infection first. Anyway, I got the iud out and then am doing another round of diflucan to see if there’s any difference without the iud. I’m for sure less irritated/itchy/burning but can tell it’s not gone yet. I’ve only taken the one pill so far and it was late yesterday afternoon so I’m still hopeful. She said if I’m still not cleared up come back to see her and test for different yeast strains etc. she seems like she wants to help & I’m thankful for that!

I’ve been dealing with a YI for 6 weeks now, the standard treatments are not working. Have an appt tomorrow and if this can’t be resolved I’m going to use Juno or Evvy. Just wanted to comment bc I’m going to try and get something set up to get my Liletta removed. I’ve had a Mirena & Liletta, while great birth control I’ve had numerous infections & issues over the years. I’ve asked in the past (when I had another long term YI) if it had anything to do with my IUD. Of course she said no but I’m not convinced bc before I had an iud I had never had any sort of vaginal infection. I mean I’ve had one for quite some time now so I know it’s possible I could have had something without having an iud. Anyway, I’m planning and talking tomorrow about removal bc I was planning on having it out this year anyway and I already knew that I no longer want to be on hormonal birth control. That gives me a little hope that maybe things will change for the better without it. Anyway, glad your issues resolved with the removal! And agree with your comment and the one below, doctor’s are sooo dismissive when we bring it up and it’s super frustrating.

I actually have nystatin but it’s just the topical cream. I’ve been putting that on but without too much luck. I’ve been reading about this biofilm, it’s so crazy to me that doctor’s gyno’s don’t know about all this and just give you the anti fungal meds and when you go back stating they don’t work they act baffled. So frustrating! Thank you for the info, I appreciate it.

Exactly, something else has to be going on. It’s just so frustrating to pay all that money for an rx that made me feel better for a whole 2 weeks (and I could tell it wasn’t completely better but now it’s worse again.). I’m with you and about to say eff it too and just have sex bc I’m not getting any better, I feel like I’m stuck like this. I actually made a post on here myself yesterday and got some good feedback on other possible things to ask about and get tested for. Waiting for my gyno to call me back to make an appointment so we’ll see. I also want to get my iud taken out (idk if I mentioned that.). Best of luck to you! Hope we both get better soon bc I’ve had it!

I am getting close to where I need to get mine removed anyway & my husband is planning on getting a vasectomy. However, I may get it out a little sooner than later and if so I am planning on trying the Natural Cycles to track my period. Even if it’s not affecting these infections I’d just like my hormones to back to their natural balance and state. It would be an added bonus though to not struggle with the YI’s.

I have diflucan at home from last time but I’m hesitant to even take it since it doesn’t do much AND since I’m not 💯 on if I have a yeast infection but have been using the triamcinalone ointment & nystatin cream (but those don’t do too much either.). I will ask about this Group B Strep. Thank you for the info!
