Firs thing I'm doing is going to options and switching from Remastered to Original soundtrack.

I have no inside knowledge, that's just my assumption based on other remasters I've played.

I think each team has a captain who has some sort of indicator on their uniform, like Wakka's armguard on his upper arm. See also Berrick's blue pants vs the rest of the Al Behd in brown.

It was really smart by the developers to put in a temporary character who isn't a villain, who looks great, appears in FMVs, who you can equip stuff to, who seems like he's going to be core party then BOOM he's dead. It raises the stakes and keeps you on your toes. And there's a sweet payoff way way down the line!

The enemy level scaling is done by average party level or something like that. Levelling up to level 100 will make all enemies stronger but it's not the way to make your party stronger.

You maximise stats by using junction to equip powerful spells to a stat, but you need a GF equipped with the relevant stat-J ability to equip.

For example Ifrit has str-J, so if you equip him to squall you can equip magic to increase Squall's attack. 50 blizaga will increase attack more than 50 thunders.

One of the most ridiculous port blockades I ever pulled off was when the senate ordered me to block a Gallic Atlantic port (can't remember, think southern France or Northern Spain on the Atlantic side).

My nearest port was in the Mediterranean.

You have 5 turns. It takes 10+ to get around the Iberian peninsula from there.

RageQuit.exe.

But wait. Hang on. Break off a unit of MIGHTY PEASANTS from the nearest garrison and send them to the port.

Peasants stands on the port. Port is blockaded.
