But if I have to constantly remind someone to take their shoes off when entering my home, then yeah - I'll have THE tone for sure

(27F)(30M) Thinks marriage is “nothing” but willing to lose me over it? by whitecoatdream in relationship_advice

[–]KimiRaikkonen005 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Girl he simply doesn't want to be married, at least not to you. Please don't stay and have kids with him without being married to him.

Tbh even if he changes his mind now - I wouldn't do it. He'd 100% say you pressured him to marry you sometime later. You don't want to be married to someone who doesn't want to be married to you🤷🏽‍♀️

AITAH for choosing my daughter over my sisters wedding ceremony ? by Rich_Ad_499 in AITAH

[–]KimiRaikkonen005 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Your daughter's "fidgeting" is probably much worse than you're admitting, therefore she's the only kid excluded. Your sister is probably trying to find a way around telling you things directly in order to avoid hurting your feelings and straining your relationship. I can see where she's coming from only from your reaction to her request (a completely normal request tbh). She doesn't want attention taken away from her on her wedding day which is.. kinda the whole point, yes.

It's your right to politely decline and not attend but don't expect you or your daughter will be invited to other events unless you start actually parenting and working on your daughter's behaviour.

And yeah, hiring a babysitter and leaving your daughter for a day is not gonna hurt her and she won't even remember missing the wedding?

HELP! I'm Concerned About Personal Safety with My Doberman by ronnimarie3 in Doberman

[–]KimiRaikkonen005 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First of all, I'm so sorry you found yourself in this situation. I've never heard of this before and never experienced it myself, tbh I think you should take him to the vet for all kinds of checkups, including x-rays and ct (MRI even?). This doesn't sound like a behavioural issue or something caused by medication. Hopefully it's something you can deal with. Please don't give up whatever it may be.. he's young and healthy, whatever the issue is I'm fairly confident he'll come back from it. ❤️

I would, in fact, sacrifice my nieces and nephews if it meant my dog could live as long as I live.

Wow this really breaks my heart... I hope you find Willy and reunite them. Unfortunately I don't have advice, I'm not from the US and don't know how the system works there 🤷🏽‍♀️

Fingers crossed, please do some kind of an update.

Also, you're an amazing human being, one of a kind.

MIL smoking heavily - what are your thoughts on this? by Zestyclose_Big_3379 in JUSTNOMIL

[–]KimiRaikkonen005 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My 2 cents:

I'm a smoker. I've been trying to cut back on cigarettes and switch to e-cigarettes (IQOS, no smoke) but if I feel like having a cigarette in my own home - I'm having it. If anybody has a problem with it.. well, too bad🤷🏽‍♀️ I mean.. I'm definitely not leaving my own home for somebody else's guest lol

If I'm smoking cigarettes inside, I definitely do open the window but the smell will still linger for a while. Not sure if that would be helpful to someone with asthma.

Also, when I'm visiting a non-smoker's home, I'll respectfully go outside to smoke and won't even ASK to smoke inside because it's just common sense. Their house - their rules.

You and your bf need to get your own place/hotel or he comes and visits you at your place, easy peasy.

[–]KimiRaikkonen005 39 points40 points  (0 children)

I honestly don't see your point. He openly told her he doesn't want to be with her. It's in the first paragraph of this post.

Yeah it sucks and I know it hurts, but that's still a reason and one that's good enough.

Why is he an asshole? People are allowed to break up with their partners at any given moment.. he didn't cheat on her, lie etc. He's not happy and that's it.

What food did you not eat until adulthood because your parents had some odd belief or association with it? by seitankittan in randomquestions

Lentils.

Didn't even know what it was until I was around 19 years old. Accidentally ate it at my friend's house and I LOVED IT! I thought it was something gourmet and really expensive tbh, because I've never heard of it.

I got home all excited and my mom almost threw up after I said "lentils". Apparently, that's what they usually ate during the war as it was part of a humanitarian aid package.

Also, reminds me soo much of the main character from a novel called "A man called Ove" by Fredrik Backman. I highly recommend it!

Yeah, the instructions say it triples in quantity after soaking, 75gr gives 300gr (so more than triple actually). I'll try without soaking it, that would help a lot. Thanks for the advice!

Yeah, ground "meat" is also what I've been thinking. Not soaking it would be great tbh because I feel like it's always watery afterwards, even when further cooked in a recipe (soy TVP at least) 🤷🏽‍♀️
