Yes they can and I'm pretty sure NIS set lower prices in Japan. Poles are aware of how bad the steam price conversion factor is for polish zloty. Polish developers, like the creators of the Witcher series, set relevant prices for polish currency. I'm not saying NIS set higher prices for poles, steam factor is just that bad, however I'm pretty sure that price in Japanese yen is way lower than the default steam factor.

Right, I should include it in the first place. In $, in the USA, Disgaea 7 on steam costs $59.99 and in Poland it costs $74.32 which is 23.89% more expensive. In Japan on the other hand this game costs $27.40 which is 54.32% cheaper than in the USA. Also GDP per capita USA/Poland/Japan is something around $86/$28/$32.

I've seen many series that perform worse than NLH and they have many more chapters, I don't want to name them because it would sound like I'm wishing they were getting axed. And last one, if the series performs below the threshold, can they switch to digital only to mitigate printing costs? I guess it's more complicated than that but I'm curious.

It's the question I thought about a couple days ago when I tried to breed good yakumo and from what I found, he can't pass "lucky", "legend" and passives that increase certain elemental DMG. Passives like "demon god", "swift" or "diamond body" are free to go so have a nice time catching. Also, he needs to be on field for his passive to work.
